Observations From The Scrimmage.

We wont know about this team for quite some time. The staff clearly knows how to build and coach a team. We will reign over the blasted gators soon. Alabama has not survived well while we were on top(94-99). All Vol fans should rest assured that we will be back with a vengeance for all who have ridiculed us for going 100 games over while only USC, UF, OU, Ohio State and Texas are the only teams who would not want our sucess. I know that one national title ain't much, but Fulmer was only halfway thru coaching in my opinion. So to all impatient volfans around the world, lighten up!!!!

WHAT! :banghead2:

A Tennessee fan that is "expecting" a loss to Florida and Alabama is the exact reason Camp Kiffin is here. So put on your big boy panties...and hold on. This is going to be a fun ride.

It runs in cycles. I remember many a years that Tennessee fans "expected" wins vs. Florida and Bama. When you've been a Vol fan as long as I have you've pretty much seen it all.

i was there and i beg your pardon... while tht ball was triple coverage there wasnt any other options open and it did hit Hancock in the hands.
gordon looked pretty good at corner
janzen jackson had the hit of the day
montori hughes is a monster
gerald williams was flying in the back field all day
oku is shifty
some of those cuts by brown were phenomanal and on tht one run he wasnt down ,the referees failed to see it kinda like tht int
it was awesome to see monte run out on the field when he thought and i agree tht the D held on fourth down.
i dont know if cunningham will keep his job.
we need help at right tackle(obviously)

you can't honestly say that you want our QB's to throw into triple coverage, and you can't blame hancock for dropping that :ermm:

i guarantee that you won't want crompton to do that in a real game. i really think rogan picked that pass off after that tussle, regardless whether he did or not that situation could have been avoided. i agree that no receivers were open however crompton could have scrambled, threw it away, or take a sack...the last thing u do as a QB is force a throw that gets picked

everything else i agree with though

Well splitting between those two would be nice this year

1. The difference in intensity from recent years is shocking. It's like Public Enemy following Yanni.
2. The passing game is still a wreck.
3. I'm not enamored with Richardson taking direct snaps.
4. This freshman class is exceptional. The young defensive players are going to be fantastic.
5. Brandon Warren looks like a completely different player. The coaching change has salvaged his career.
6. The frosh skill position players need to hold on to the ball better.
7. The run blocking is noticably better. The pass protection, not much better than last year.
8. I was very impressed with what I saw from both kickers.
9. The contact driils are paying off. This team hits with some authority.
10. I still think this is an 8-4/7-5 team.

Sounds like what the fans had anticipated from the practice reports. Nice summary. Thanks :good!:
