:hi:Hi Volnation,
I have been a member for a long time, but only post when I feel necessary. Today...I feel it is necessary. Yes.. I have had a few drinks but that just means my thoughts are even more meaningful!haha I was one of the FEW people that thought firing/retiring CPF was a mistake. After today, I know I was WRONG!! You can talk about how much the losses are on the players and lack of talent. However...isn't it CPF responsibility to both recruit and develop this talent?? Right now we have NOOOOO talent at QB and that is just not something Tennessee is used to. I mean.. after having Peyton Manning and winning a National Championship, wouldnt you think it would be EASY as CHEEESE to recruit a freakin QB!?!?!?!?! I can throw better than the QB's we have! This is ridiculous! I am more of a Fulmer fan than anyone on this board. However, I know you CANNOT win without a decent QB in the SEC! It is beyone the point of RIDICULOUSNESS when you lose homecoming to Wyoming! Fulmer...I love you, but IT IS TIME TO GO!! Cry all you want you big baby, but you are 3-7 including a loss to WYOMING! Goodnbye Phil. You were good, but all good things must come to an end. Love you VOLNATION!~ GO VOLS!!!

Our QB may stink, but our offensive line is atrocious. You can't have an offense without having a good O-line.

I also haven't seen this lack of performance in a VOl's team since the early 60's. I say bench the entire stating line-up and replace with all bench players either second thru fifth stringers. They cna't all be bad the KY Wildcats and Vandy can't wait to get at us. I live in KY and it's not good when you can't defend these Vols. It's pitiful to spend all off season and this is the best you can find.

This is a pitiful day in Vol history, Where did they get these running backs QB'S,somewhere other than the SEC power ranch. All these other SEC powers and we're at the bottom. Not good from a VOL fan seeking to see something each week go unnoticed, can't even score. Defense please score and take possession of the game, Offense go home.

How about going with NO GAMEPLAN for Vandy and KY... let the freshmen play, and draw them up in the dirt

I believe that talent is not our problem. Developing it is.

There are plenty of 4 and 5 star recruits that just don't seem to make any progress. Odd are against them all being 'busts'.

I disagree. Cutcliffe and Ainge showed us last year what you can do with the exact same offensive line.

After 9 straight weeks the Vols FINALLY get an open date. Maybe after some rest they might win. but after seeing how Ky almost beat GA (and should have), and given our INABILITY TO MOVE THE DAMN BALL, 3-8 looks very likely now. This reminds me of how sad I was when John Ward retired, the last game he called, A BASKETBALL GAME was a blowout by I think SE Mo in to end the 1998-99 season. A sad way to send out a legend. I at least had some satisfaction knowing that the football team had just won the national championship. Now it's the football team that's losing big and the basketball team winning championships.
Again, this is a sad way to send out a legend.
