Four years, 17 mil, for a guy that has started 14 games in the NFL and he wonders why the Raiders have only won 5 games the past couple of years. Because of contracts like this.

hmmm, Sands doesn't sound like the kind of guy I'd care too much to pay any attention to

Sands is really only in the NFL because of his size. No one except Burgess on that Raiders defensive line is worth their weight in dog crap.

Pro football players should be the last one calling anybody selfish or a quitter. A players signs a contract and if he plays better than expected he thinks the contarct is not worth the paper it is written on. He holds out or demands a trade in order to get more money. Sounds to me like the pot calling the kettle black.

Sands might be right, Kiffin's style might be better suited for the college game. Rare to see head coaches that have done well in college and the NFL. You see position coaches do well in both arenas, but it seems as if you have have to stick to one and "specialize" as a head coach.

You will learn to expect the Rod Wilks inserts into threads. He's an urban legend, or in this case a VolNation legend. It will take a little research to see where it all begain. Oh, and if you say anything bad about Rod...lock your doors at night.

"Academically challenged" Turdell couldn't make the grade with UT way back when he tried to sign on with the Vols, then he found himself unable to comprehend the Kiffin system at Oakland. Chattanooga should push the flush lever to send him on his way before he embarrases himself and his family further with any more ill-advised remarks. :flush:

What the crap is that supposed to mean!

somebody besides UTvol1----What happened with Rod Wilks?? Again, excuse my ignorance!

It's a running joke that I came in late on as well. Apparently, there was a poster who absolutely loved Rod Wilks and was constantly bragging about him when he was being recruited. So people started making Chuck Norris jokes about him with Rod Wilks' name substituted in.

i.e. there are no tornadoes, Rod Wilks just doesn't like trailer parks

Interesting comments from one whose moniker is "Special Ed"

Who could ever blame Cregg for leaving Oakland as quickly as possible. He might not have had the same opportunity had he waited.

Just for the sake of logical consistency, why does he judge Coach Cregg and B.J. so differently? He says the one quit on his team in mid-stream, but the other, he doesn't blame for moving on to seek a better opportunity. Seems like they both did that, didn't they? Both were equally doing what they had to do to take charge of their lives ... or both failed to stick out a commitment?
