I loved the freakin' I formation. How long has it been since we've seen the deep I at Tennessee???? One play out of the I the fullback just crushed the linebacker at the hole and sprung Williams for a nice gain. WoooooHoooo!!!!! That's physical football!!!

1. i agree that the O line played well, that was good to see, but i have to temper that with the fact the front 7 wasn't allowed to do all that much either as far as stunting, how they lined up, blitzing etc...it was basically man on man, they didn't have to really worry about who would come free, where to pick up this guy or that or which one to get....

2. we've only gone away from using a true full back over the last two years since we apparently didn't have a good full back to run with. we have two good ones now, so the I is back. i agree that's a very good thing, espeically when you have FB's that can get the job done.

With a cut to the side-line he would have had a lot more yards and a possible score. That, I think, is what all the fuss was about after what otherwise looked like a good run. This staff wants big plays and obviously do not take missing big play opportunities lightly.

I only saw it on TV, but it looked to me like the biggest open space was basically in front of the kid. I'm not very good at judging this kind of stuff, however.

There is no doubt they are a better coached team. They were very organized and seem very disciplined. Another thing than stood out to me, I didn't see anyone walking around. They ran everyone where they went. On and off the field. I even noticed that Eric Berry ran from the sidelines and through the tunnel after the game was over, and he wasn't even dressed out. I was impressed.

I think in one of the Caravan stops Lane mentioned this. Apparently while the D was limited Lane threw a few things on the D that they weren't expecting. Word is that Monte sent O into the offensive locker room at halftime to tell Lane that he was full of S&^%. Sorry if this has been discussed.

I agree that there was a better sense of discipline on the field. Was glad to see Coach K at the controls behind each offensive play. Coach'em up!!! Also, I thought that the backs ran well and didn't seem to go down as easily. Due respect to A. Foster, I thought many times that he could get a big load moving down the field but that he often went down with the first hit.

I still say the offense looked better than they are, Because the coaches handcuffed the defense! believe it or not! Just my opinion!

Yea, the staff wants the backs to make one move then hit the hole full speed. Not multiple jukes once they get through the line. It's a hard habit to break, because growing up that's all you know. You learn that in the back yard playing with friends. Now, being ask to make the first cut and get through the hole has to be instilled.

They better get use to it. Its what is going to be expected from our backs. One cut and hit the hole hard! Its the new zone blocking scheme that CLK has implemented.
