I know that first team offense will be against first team defense. Anyways, I saw the beginning of georgia spring game and they had different rules than a normal game. For example, 8 minute quarters, punts but no returns, no hitting the qb, no kickoffs. Does anybody know the spring game setting for UT.

No I haven't heard anything, but Kiffin has said there will be no green jerseys during practice. Either way, I hope we get to see some real football tommorrow.

If I heard CK right yesterday he said no run backs on
kicks. And the scoring will be different than a normal
game........................GO VOLS

I heard CLK was going to let Rod Wilkes make the rules. All kidding aside he said the other day it was going to be like a "real" game. The only difference is no punt returns and the scoring is a little bit different giving the defense with the opportunity to score points.

From what I've gathered

Normal scoring for offense.
D gets 3 points for stopping a drive, 5 if it ends in a turnover, and 7 for a defensive TD.

I think the "no run backs" is pretty standard in Spring games. Didn't Gawwgia start on the 30 or 35 instead of kick offs? On punts, it was the spot of reception. I know that for sure.

Gotta give the "D" something to play for......Monte has visions of the #1 defense in the nation. You gotta tempt the Lion with meat if you want him to really show how nasty he can be ! I bet Monte and Ed got this in the staff meeting a month ago.
