Anybody going a little early and spending New Years in Jacksonville?

If so, you guys know of what events are going on down there

I currently live in Jacksonville and the best place to be is the Jacksonville landing. They will have something going on all day with fireworks going on at midnight.The coaches banquet will be done on new years eve. Plus the gator bowl will be having the team pep rallies going on new years day also along with the parading of the bands. Also the tailgating usually starts a day or two earlier in the RV park.

Fireworks at the Landing are pretty good. I dont know if they still do them at the Beach close to Mayport, but I would bet they do.

You know anything about this event? Looks like its just a few blocks from Jacksonville Landing? Would you be able to see fireworks from the museum? MOCA Jacksonville | Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville

Yes you will be able to see the fireworks because they do them from a barge in the St. Johns River.
