How does Nuke compare to Harvin?
Will nuke be used same way as harvin was at florida?
What are the expectations? I am trying to get excited about a playmaker like nuke we have had so many players come through that did not live up to the hype.

With the current staff, we will never run an offense that looks like the thing Harvin thrived in.

If I'm not mistaken, Harvin was the #1 recruit in the country...so on paper, Nuke probably won't stack up to him...

Harvin = first round NFL selection
Nuke = never played a D1 FCS snap

Harvin was recruited as a WR, but he did have some impressive stats rushing and receiving in high school. He used in HS, pretty much the same way he was used at Florida. Very talented guy, but I still don't like him. Yes, he was the #1 overall recruit in the country that year. At least by rivals.

yeah come on guys.

i hate the gators no doubt, but this comparison isn't even close to fair.

maybe by 2011 we can talk about this, but right now Nuke would be lucky to be able to wash percy's (albeit small and tiny) jock strap.

Who is this Percey Harvin? I've only heard of Percey Harvey. He is the akademic and also athaletik bscs champion.

they dont compare much at all to me..other than speed wise

Harvin was about 6'0 - 6'1 and around 190lbs
Nuke is 5'7 170lbs

Totally unfair to Nuke to make this comparison. As much as I don't like Harvin for being a Gator he's an apex athlete. One might be able to argue Nuke could be more elusive but by any other athletic measurable Harvin is simply in another class.

Still, usage might be similar. I think maybe more along the lines of Holliday at LSU albeit not nearly as fast.

trindon holliday would be a better comparison...nuke may be an inch or 2 taller though

False...Harvin was 5'11, Nuke is 5'8-5'9

In all fairness Harvin was listed as 6'1" by Rivals so one can see where the confusion would come from. Similarly how certain are we Nuke isn't actually closer to 5'7"?

Not saying that's the case...just saying.

rivals basically lists whatever the player wants their height to be. you wont know his true height till/if he gets drafted.

Nukeese is exciting, but he is a tiny guy. I hope he doesn't get hurt.

Percy will go down as one of the best Florida players of all time.

Nukeese has a lot to do before being mentioned in the same breath as Harvin

Or 40 time for that matter. Astonishing how many 4.2/4.3 guys end up running 4.4's (or worse) at the combine. So much so many of the top names don't even run at the combine anymore. Keeping with the Harvin example:

WikiAnswers - What is Percy harvin 40 time

Keep in mind Harvin's official combine time was 4.41. The problem is that it's knuckleheads like the guy posting in that link making it look like 4.41 is slow. Truth is, exactly 6 people, regardless of position, equaled or bettered Harvin's time and nobody went under 4.3.
