I have held my comments until after NSD to see how we would fair (or is it fare? The super spellers on here can let me know :)) and to make my first judgement on our new coaching staff. I don't care how you feel personally about Coach Kiffin and the rest of the staff, the fact of the matter is that they did a good job.

Did we get all the in-state talent?
No. Not getting MB was somewhat a letdown, but that is no reason to freak out like some on here did. We may never get ALL the in-state talent but you can be sure from here on out, we will always be in the mix and high on the list.

Yes some of our commits did de-commit and went elsewhere.
That happpens to every school. Rememer that CLK and the rest of his staff took over someone else's project, so to speak. This was not a clean beginning for them and trying to sift through the Fulmer staff's work as well as trying to evaluate other talent and build new relationships, time was definitely a factor. In the time frame they had to work with, this staff did a good job! That is not an excuse that is a realism. Building relationships is a time-based endeavor. Maybe save your ignorant rants for next year after our staff has had a whole year. I have a feeling you will not be so inclined to attack them on their recruiting efforts. It will probably be on something petty like making recruits cut their hair or making them drink milk with their breakfast.

Finally I just want to say CLK and the staff have gained some cred points with me. We have taken a first step towards a solid foundation for the future. It has begun. Deny it all you want and spin it anyway you want to but NSD was a positive for all Volnation.

GO VOLS!!!

I agree completely, they did a great job! Especially in the time that was alloted to them. More than anything Im just glad to get Foolmer out of Knoxville and will be glad to never see him pacing the UT sideline. Foolmer damaged our program to a point in which I thought we would never see UT.

Rankings don't bother me, no doubt in the future our recruiting will be much better. It was a good day, but the class isn't over yet. Besides Fulmer could bring in top 5 classes every year and 1/2 wouldn't even be on the team in 2 years.....I'm more concerned with coaching em up and making em accountable to the team, themselves, and the University. A new sheriff is in town and Lane doesn't play player's, let them do what they want coaching style. 15 good kids that play are better than 25 that have to be bailed out.
