Heard on the radio that JJ Peterson was still not on campus. They were reportedly waiting on an ACT score and he’s expected on campus first week of July

Yeah, JJ Peterson still isn't here. If he's not here by the end of this weekend, then he probably won't be here till July.

Worrisome

Not really. His school system is on a different calendar than most and did not have graduation until this past weekend. Final grades were just turned in today. Those still have to be certified by the clearinghouse before he can enroll.

There was an attempt to get the paperwork in early, but the NCAA wouldn't accept it until it was final. UT knew this was the timeline all along.

If you are going to bring facts and rationale here, then you have no business here.....:eek:lol:

That all sounds good, but, you forgot one thing...

The NCAA clearing house hates us.

DeerPark, how do you continue to get good inside info?

Someone said your job in Knoxville went away (maybe with the Nike switch?) and you've moved on somewhere else. But you seem to still have an ear to the ground.

Friends left behind?

After the crazy Colangelo story came out, it makes you wonder who DP could be...

Hah! Yeah....

After the crazy Colangelo story came out, it makes you wonder who DP could be...

Someone once said that he was an Adidas contractor with permanent duty with the Vols AD office (well, permanent as long as we had a contract with Adidas).

No idea if that was true or not. Made sense at the time, given the areas he was most knowledgeable on, but he's still got an ear inside the program now. So maybe he wasn't Adidas rep after all...?

And p.s. I don't want to "out" the guy, just want to know in a very general sense how he continues to get good info. So I can judge how firmly to put stock in it.

Nike switch didn't affect me, people just assumed that because I continually explained for almost a decade why Tennessee wouldn't ever leave adidas unless one very specific thing (taking millions less in $$$) and that's exactly what ended up happening.

I just don't post as much now because of how angry people got when facts were posted during last season. Nothing is ever as good or as awful as people think.

Ah, I see. So you're actually still in Knoxville. And not an Adidas rep, at all. Gotcha.

Thanks for the inside peeks from time to time!

People here were mad at facts? I thought most folks preferred the truth to fantasy until I came back here.

With that said what’s the long term outlook on Pruitt from those on the inside?

Facts have no place on a fan forum. We only deal in wild speculation.

Worrisome

This was known all along by the staff.... Why is this worrisome?

The staff tried to get his school to send unofficial transcripts so he would be here sooner and that fell through. The NCAA wanted finalized transcripts.

No worries here.

I agree with thanking DP. He was part of a very small minority at one point that almost got run off of VN for a while when he did not cave into the hysteria and bloviating concerning the certainty of coronating the now coach of the Las Vegas Raiders as the UT HC for 2018.

He was very smarmy and combative about it tho. As he is wont to do. Needed a good smacking imo. He always comes back after leaving us for dead. :)
