I think it was well said. and about time. there is enough hate out their to go around . this is suppose to fun. lot of you guys sucking the life right out of it. and I very much stand behind my coach.

Squeakey wheel gets the grease and until something is done I would say the squeaking is going to loudly continue from those who love the program and will not accept incompetence. Give us something positive to cheer about and we will be onboard. Until then, just get out of the way.

Oh...are you the "fan authority"? I for one have invested more emotion, commitment and passion than I could ever accurately explain. I've misses weddings, been late for this engagement or that engagement because my Saturday's in the fall have ALWAYS revolved around UT football. But you know what.....this program is GARBAGE now. I don't blame Fulmer or Pruitt and Co. I blame the UT administration...and the sooner YOU wake up and realize the internal tug of war between the UT admin and the football program the better! They want UT to be known for its "academic prowess" FAR MORE than anything that takes place on that football field. Nevermind that the football program MADE this University. You're calling for people to "jump ship"....rest assured that's already happening!

Yea, this will not go over well, the NVs will never leave because, to be honest, they are just trolling Volnation, in fact, there exist statistics and data that proves they are truly fans of other teams. I have hundreds of signed affidavits stating that NVs are not UT fans at all.

You clearly are missing the ENTIRE point as to why people are upset. If people didn’t love the Vols, they wouldn’t care. How is that so hard to understand? Why do people think if you criticize and do not just accept failure or mediocrity, then you “aren’t real fans”?? To me, someone who is okay with what is happening right now really does not care and are nothing more than casual fans. People are pissed because something they love so much has been destroyed and they just want it back. Period.

This is in no way an indictment of your post, which I agree with on the whole, but I do believe that the primary culprits that elevated academics over athletics were DiPietro and Cheek - who are both gone now. To my understanding, Randy Boyd is a strong proponent of athletics, and Plowman has a history of support for athletics at prior stops.

I feel like the resources were committed to hiring staff, coaches, establishing the third largest recruiting budget in the country, and building a new weight room and third full length practice field, but the problem is that they've just poured that money into a coach that can't coach. John Currie bungled the coaching search so badly that he and the Chancellor both got fired. Now they seem more concerned with whatever this investigation might produce than they are with getting rid of the offenders that spawned the investigation in the first place.

so, I'm not seeing where you get your info from. its like 2 sides to a coin, you seem to be stuck on tales . chasing something that needed fixing from the beginning. give him time . he is putting a lot of the pieces in the right place . it is hard to lose . but it makes you respect that much more when you win. be humble my friend .
