The administration is saying to the fan base you are not going to get what you want. We are going to hire who we want, and we want pay to win at Tennessee. The Gundy deal went south for a reason.

Doubtful. Lots of people's jobs on the line and pissed off boosters. Doubtful it's to teach a lesson

Then I suggest they offer gruden and 20 million

Gruden never wanted the job. He’s nothing more than a media whore that feeds off of all of the attention. If Gruden or Currie had been an adult, one if them should have stated so weeks ago to avoid all of this BS. Currie should have fired Butch after the UGA loss, informed the masses of a coaching search and also that it wouldn’t be Gruden.

The way I look at it - I was done with Tennessee football awhile ago. I checked out when it was obvious Butch wouldn't win here. I'm fine, I don't have to come back. You guys will be fine too. There are lots of other things to do.

If they hire a winner, I'll come back. If not, well, they are only hurting themselves. Davenport may survive, but Currie won't. If he hires any of the names being thrown around right now, he'll be looking for a job again a few years down the road. Maybe sooner.
