Did I miss something here? I was just watching College Football live and they mentioned how difficult Notre Dame's schedule would be and how they were trying to buy out the Arizonza State game. ASU bucked and said not happening.

Anyways, during that segment they mentioned that Notre Dame would have to play 5 ACC schools in 2014. I'm assuming this had to do with the playoff agreement but what's the details? Are they a defacto ACC team now? Will they rotate conferences?

I hate Notre Dame even more now. :finger3:

Notre Dame is joining the ACC in all sports but football. They have agreed to play 5 ACC teams in football every year.

Were you in prison for the last year?

I must have been. I don't typically give a crap about Notre Dame but I wasn't aware that they were being treated so special and allowed to play 5 ACC games without joining the conference. If I was an ACC fan I'd be pissed.

They also get a bowl bid reserved for an ACC team if they're eligible. Pretty sweet, you don't have to play in the conference, don't have to play in a the ccg, but you get to take an ACC team's bowl spot if you're eligible. Seems like a pretty solid arrangement for ND, not so much for the ACC team that has to play in the Dave's auto garage bowl.

The ACC is the only conference they could get away with their typical "Notre Dame" elitist crap. The ACC was saving their own ass and brought those guys in as partial members.

Really? Because it essentially led to the grant of rights that saved that conference. I'd imagine most of them were/are happy about the move.

And they are part of the conference in everything but football; they joined, just not as full time members

Out of curiosity, do you know if 2 of those 5 teams will be Pitt and Boston College each year? Or does their counting as part of those 5 fit into some sort of rotation?

Pretty sure they count toward the 5. But don't hold me to that.
