A lot of people have been hard on our team, but Brian Kelly is having a terrible season at ND. I defiantly think he'll have them back, but their fan base are as impatient as our fan base. Plus, the kid dying at practice the other day doesn't help his cause either.

they've had some great recruiting classes so Kelly can't blame it on not having the right talent for his system.

They lost today because winning by 2 points wasn't good enough. Bad teams shouldn't be worrying about margin of victory.

Why does someone have to be that guy every time a team with highly ranked players loses?

Probably because people are always make some sort of smarta$$ comment when we get a 3* player.

they're not "his" class for "his" system however, just like this past year really wasn't "Dooley's" class for the most part. Give it a 2 years and then we'll know

Because someone always points out how important stars are when teams with highly ranked players wins.

Correct. I could say the same for SGM's USC b****s. Obviously coaching has nothing to do with it. Wait Kiff & Kelly are geniuses. Inherits all world talent and makes them mediocre.

You are being too kind. If they are football players and not just a star for their position they should be able to adapt to any system.

I heard that ND had three 5* recruits at the game. So that's probably going to hurt them.

I would think a good coach would adjust his system for the players he has.

they can definitely adjust it. but it's still most likely not going to be as effecient as when said coach gets the players he wants in there to play for him.

For the money they get paid they should be pros in every style that can be put on the field. Plus Coach Kelly cant act like he doesnt have the talent there.

Yep, Notre Dame stinks but they are still on national tv every week in their great independent league. Even playing Tulsa they just gotta put them on tv. Makes me sick!

ok, but that's not what i'm saying. i'm just pointing out that you can still have talent on a team and still not be playing at your full potential because not all the players necessarily click, which is part of the reason why kelly has had a tough time this year IMO. that's all my point was.....nothing more, nothing less.

i'm not defending his loss today, though. i definitely agree that he shouldn't have lost to tulsa. i've been pretty surprised the way notre dame has struggled the way they have this year. i really thought they would turn it around for the most part after the loss to mich st.
