Isnt it amazing how fortunes can change so quickly. Just two weeks ago ND announced that Weis was safe. Now after getting zonked by Syracuse in South Bend, it seems Mr. Weis's pants are a little warm. The bottom line is this...since we did not hire Kelly...who is rumored to be loved by ND....could this be the end of Weis once he gets blown out on Saturday...which he most assuredly will. Maybe the Vols by not hiring Kelly will indirectly get Weis canned....

Kelly would be a major upgrade from Weiss. I hope Notre Dame sticks with Weiss so they can remain in college football obscurity.

I believe that is called priapism (sp?). And yes, they do have one for Meyer. He'd have to seriously be out of his tree to leave Florida for ND.

Hey Great White....why do you think it would be nuts to leave Florida for ND? I HATE ND but I feel its the top coaching job in America. The money is unlimited. NBC contract. Love from the pollsters. A cream schedule mostly speaking. Why would it be so bad?

My opinion strictly, but ND is going to be a lot tougher to recruit at than UF, due to the academic standards alone. Meyer has gotten Florida back to the top of the mountain, and has the recruits rolling in. Just seems hard for me to see him leaving all that to basically start over again in a tougher job with a much bigger microscope than Florida. If ND comes calling, watch UF open that wallet up WIDE.

No doubt Weis is having struggles but I think he is in the same boat we are. He has no QB. JC is absolutely terrible. And I LOVE it!

Notre Dame may suffer the worst loss in recent memory Saturday. I think it will be ugly. Dont forget, Pete and the USC boys HAVE to impress the voters. They have to lay it on thick and Weis will be the beneficiary of it.

Because of the need to move up in the BCS, I believe the Trojans put 50+ on Ole Charlie ....

I had breakfast with a former coach on Fulmer's staff this morning and was told if ND fires Weiss the job will again be offered to Meyer and this time his wife will not keep him from taking it.

Because Notre Dame ceased to be relevant on the college football landscape back in the mid-80's.

Because half of the PAC 10, most of the Big 10, all of the Big 12, the entire SEC, plus Navy and Syracuse, can and will beat their ass.

"Top coaching job in America". Unlimited money. NBC contract. Cream schedule.

Are we talking about Notre Dame, or the Yankees?

It would be so bad because, eventually, there will be an FBS playoff system. The day that happens, Notre Dame has to (a) choose a conference to play in, (b) play a major college football schedule, and (c) get used to playing their bowl game in mid-December.

Get real. Notre Dame has survived the last 15 years on name recognition alone.

Ring a bell?

Go Vols.

Back in the days of Knute Rockne and the 4 horsemen, ND was a top job. Those days are gone.
