Good reports abound concerning Malik Jackson and Mo Couch.

Daniel Hood is consistently mentioned as a leader due to his work ethic.

Marlon Walls is said to have trimmed down and is moving much better as he works as a defensive end.

The tugboat, Allan Carson, needs to lose weight and improve conditioning. He is working diligently to do that.

Steven Fowlkes has been a pleasant surprise for the coaches so far. Ditto for Willie Bohannon.

Looks like we might have a solid, albeit small, core of defensive tackles. The guys we do have need to do well.

Please forgive me but I have forgot the positions of Fowlkes and Bohannon. I know they are D-line but DT or DE? Thanks

I used to put stock in these reports. No more.

Kept hearing how many breakout players we were about to have, and how good Brantley looked before last year, etc.

Sure we like hearing this stuff as fans, but it certainly doesn't hold the weight we want it to.

Some are just better in practice.

What happened to the Joseph Ayres. He played quiet a bit last year. He was undersized but he did a decent job. I was hoping to see him get bigger.

Yeah, almost all the talk in summer is positive.

This is the closest team ever. We are working harder than ever. We're going to surprise people this year. (Insert name here) is going to blow up this year. We're stronger and faster than ever.

Same things said every year.
