Paul, Austin and I are at North Atlanta HS this morning checking out practice for the East squad. Lots if UT targets on the field and tons if SEC talent.

Preston Williams is on the team but nursing an injured ankle.

Among the Vol targets include RB Eric Swinney ( has already busted some nice runs this morning) DE/ LB D'Andre Walker good size and moves really well.

Rivals early No. 1 overall player DT Trenton Thompson, certainly looks the part. Incredible quickness off the line.

QB Lorenzo Nunez is a guy the Vols are looking at some. Really mobile, throws a decent ball and has nice size.

LB Quarte Sapp, Tennessee offer, great quickness, made some plays in 7-on-7.

Another LB with a Vol offer, Roquan Smith having a nice morning.

Eric Swinney was very impressive today. He has great quickness and runs with a lot of power for a guy his size.

After watching Trenton Thompson I understand why he's a five-star guys. He's huge and quick and disrupts everything every play he's in the game.

Jayson Stanley from Creekside is a 6-3, 200 pound receiver who looked good out there today.

Quarterback Lorenzo Nunez got better as the day went on and it was easy to see why people likes him as a dual-threat prospect. He had some nice passes on the move and had a few nice scrambles.

The defensive line is absutely stacked at this event. D'Andre Walker is very quick off the edge. Alabama commitment Mekhi Brown is going to be a really good one.

One name that's a bit of a sleeper that looked good is Jonathan Ledbetter. At 6-5, 270, he has good size and quickness at tackle.

We only saw one of the two teams practice and the team had at least six SEC-caliber defensive linemen.

Kirk Herbstreit said on 247sports.com that 2015 was going to be the Vols year! He said looming in the distance of 2015, the Vols were already hitting the recruiting trail hard and said there was a lot of in state talent that Butch Jones would probably get.

I don't really know what Herbie was indicating but I sure hope he is right. He made a point that Tennessee hasn't been relevant since 2001 and that might have been what he was indicating that Tennessee would be back to competing in the SEC East.

I sure hope Tennessee gets a lot of this talent coming up!
