On local news station this morning (Mid.Tn) Although he said he wanted to wait on hiring, he did say he had numerous people interested in o/c job and various coaching jobs at UT. I did hear on radio Duncan Stewart mention Kippy Brown and possibly New Orleans o/c Marone (sp) possible hires, who I think married Boots Donnelly's (MTSU former coach) daughter .

Is the interest with Doug Marrone mutual?

I realize that he once coached at UT...but it was only for 1 season...why would he want to leave an OC position in the NFL for a coordinator job at Tennessee?

Not necessarily focusing on Marrone, but I think the next OC has a great shot at being the next HC if he does a great job.

If he hires Kippy as the OC I am going to puke. The guy is not an OC or a QB coach. I'd rather have Spence if it comes to that.

I think he should take a good long look at a guy name Mike Nolen out of Dover, TN...He supposed to pretty good.

I think it would be easier to get a good OC if we were changing head coaches and getting rid of Chavis. JMO

what is your problem? Are you upset that Rex is gaining ground on you for being most negative poster? You even said you were going to lay off Phil through the holidays. Did that go out the window?

I understand CFP can't "officially" contact NFL assistants (without team permission) until their season is completed..........Does this same rule apply to college assistants?

I've heard of that guy but I think he would be too much of towel waving, chest bumping guy on the sideline. J/k bro, had to do it, see ya this evening.:)

sorry rex. You even admitted something along of the lines of "if such and such gets hired, i'll be the most negative poster this board has ever seen". I just don't think HB wants any competition. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Well, Sean Payton is the actual playcaller in NO, so it would make a bit of sense if he wanted to show what he can do being the actual head man of the offense.

if Adkins does get hired I'll probably get banned. As bad as I am, I do think HB's got me beat. I feel his pain though, so I FULLY understand where he's coming from.
