Seriously, why in the world is Bruce/Tony subbing players in and out within minutes of playing. I don't care how good of a player you are, you are not going to be able to get into any kind of groove when he are just in for a couple mins at a time. 1. If our guys are that out of shape that they cant play more than a couple min stretch, then we have poor conditioning. 2. It isn't accomplishing anything by doing this. 3. You cant get in a groove, not even Jordan or Kobe could get in a groove with this stupid subbing in an out. 4. I blame the coaches for a lot of our offensive problems because of this.

I typically agree with that but Pearls system has always been this way and it works for him. C.J. Watson under Buzz Peterson averaged 38 minutes a game but towards ends of games was spent. His 1 year with Bruce Pearl and his minutes went to 22 minutes but his productivity increased especially in crunch time.

When we were playing the "conrolled chaos" it worked because of our players were constantly running up and down. I just don't see the point in a half court offense.

The rotation has shrunk. I thot that in the first 10-12 games coach was filling things out to see who and where people could play. Now, I'm not sure why the rotation is as large as it is. Maybe it's for keeping guys fresh?

At one point in the 2nd half we had NO playmakers on the floor for the offense. I think it was Pearl, BW, Bone, Skyler, Melvin. I could be wrong, but I remember thinking "who is going to score"? They soon brought in Tobias, but it's weird.

But, I don't understand why we don't use this deeeep team to wear people down with pressure, and pick up the pieces at the end? Maybe that's the long term vision heading into the SEC / NCAA Tourneys? IDK.

We had better win some games or we'll be required to win the SECT just to get into the dance. :ermm:

there were 3 times in the game where the line up was BW,SM,TH,SP and JB and then the other 2 times it was MG,BW,SM,SP and TH. these line ups are not going to win any games.I think the rotation started at the 16:00 minute mark.
Out the 3 times TH was our only off. threat.watch the next game and see if the rotation dont start around the 16:00 mark or sooner.I noticed it the last 3 games and its probably been going on the entire year.

The rotation makes no sense. I blame this loss on bruce. I would recommend surgery for his cranal anal inversion.

I agree. Generally I agree with most of CBP's decisions, but man, two minutes into each game you have someone coming off the bench to sub. This plays into players' pscyhe and make them want to try and make plays they normally cannot make before they get yanked. A player cannot get into the groove of the game when they are constantly looking to the bench wondering they will get pulled after playing only 2 minutes stretches. I'm also afraid how this affects recruiting. Quite frankly if I am a 4 or 5 star baller and see that the team's philosophy is to pull a player every 2-3 minutes I will have to look elsewhere. I love the Vols but we have to make some changes. Go Vols.......

a game. Guys need a blow, but that is just more than half the game--not enough for your best, or one of your best, players. A fit guard ought to be able to handle 30 minutes a game, IMO.

He chooses who plays when by drawing Scrabble letters from a cloth bag. (It's possibly a Ouija board instead, but I was giving the benefit of the doubt.)

I have no understanding of it. It makes no sense. None of it.
