And in no way am I a negavol, but some people may be getting a little ahead of themselves with #2 ranking talk. We have a great shot of landing a top 5 class, but I really think 6(maybe more) classes will all be clumped at the top. 2 will likely be above the other 4 while one may be trailing a little.

USC-Small class right now(10 players) but already 3 5*s and only 1 player under 3*.
Headliner possibilities-Marc Tyler, James Wilson, Chris Galippo, Marvin Austin, Everson Griffen, Joe McKnight

Texas-Very solid instate class and won't pick up many more players.
Headliner possibilities-Tray Allen, John Brantley, Curtis Brown, John Chiles

UT-Huge class number wise and great job of filling holes and finding sleepers.
Headliner possibilities-Kenny O'Neal, Brent Vinson, Eric Berry, Chris Donald

UF-Having a heyday in Florida with FSU and UM being down.
Headliner possibilities-Torrey Davis, Carlos Dunlap, Graig Cooper

LSU-Very consistent class that will land a few stars as icing.
Headliner possibilities-Chad Jones and Terrance Tolliver

UGA-Another consistent class, but heavy on OL and low on playmakers.
Headline possibilities-8 OL and Caleb King

I would also watch for ND, Mich, and maybe tOSU to challenge UGA. I think we end up in the 3-5 range with UF and LSU though it will be close.

HV why do you think we're pursuing Creer harder then Cooper? i know stars are just stars but #1 prep player? Thats for real they don't mess up that much i mean Derrick Williams, Percy Harvin?? they weren't prep but they were #1 and they're not looking that bad haha. Whats your view on this? Do we still have a chance w/ cooper? i heard on the radio that we are close to sealing the deal w/ Creer.

Creer would be a big land. But will most likely redshirt unless we have a lot of injuries next year. Maybe he can be our powerback since Foster wants to be a more elusive speedy back.

I think with the injuries we've witnessed this year, it's understood that we need Creer and he would get significant playing time

Well, like you said, rankings are ranking. I guarantee you that major college programs do not make decisions about who they recruit based on the stars that rivals.com give to the prospects. They have evaluated both and made the decision that they think Creer will be a better RB in college than Cooper. They have seen tape, combine numbers, and talked with the players. Creer does appear to be a better athlete. He is faster. He is just as strong, if not stronger. Plus, Cooper was scared of the competition at UT. That tells a coach a little something about how that player competes. Maybe that factor played in, maybe not. But, I think overall its just a matter of the coaching staff putting more faith in their evaluations of the players than the rivals evaluations. There is also a difference between prep rankings and high school rankings. The top high school RB's would be ahead of Cooper if they were in with the prep rankings.

Cooper has questionable speed and he should not be #1 over Vinson. I have no idea how he is 5*. Creer is much better looking, just watch the film(Cooper plays against junk competition as well).
