Why do I have the feeling that even with the injuries that this team is going to pull out this win? Everything schematically seems to lean to A&M getting the win. The thought of them spreading us out, leaving Jumper in the middle to tackle Trevor Knight or Traveon Williams terrifies me (and Jumper has played great! Just he seems to be more built for defending the I-formation rather than being left in the open field against and athletic RB/QB because of his lack of closing speed.). That said, there's something about this squad that just hasn't been there years past. Grit, confidence, and they have been tested and gotten through it. This team doesn't share the beliefs of many of the fan base. They can be down with 10 seconds left and know they are going to pull a Hail Mary and win. They can be down 21-3 at half and not get rattled. That is means a lot in football. Sure "football is a game of match ups", and A&M is a tall task, but this team somehow (whether it's luck or not) pulls this game out. GBO.

I get it and will be rooting my face off.

However, at some point in time all these injuries are gonna come back and bite us. Not saying it's today. I just don't wanna hear all the Nega's if we lose calling heads

The fact that we have come from behind so much this year and the way we won last week is a great indicator that this team is mentally tough and prepared to go into places like College Station.

Agreed. Even though the odds are stacked against us, I can't shake the feeling that we're going to win. There's just something about this team.

I wanna believe.

C'mon Volly. If there's one thing we know at this point it's to never count this team out. And really the same was true of last year to a degree. This team plays its best football when backed into a corner. It was when we are playing ahead of teams last year when we crumbled. Get us down 28 against UGA though, let our hair down, unleash Dobbs and this team can work wonders. What we need is to play with reckless abandon early and not come out looking like zombies.

I see it. They still have a good shot.

I'm hoping that starting the game with so much against them will motivate them to play in a way that it usually takes getting down 21-0 to do. GO VOLS!

There are legit reasons why everyone picked against us. aTm passes the eye test better than we do, they stop the run, and run the ball. We have been "lucky" against GA and APP...

Injuries are an even bigger wart, and not having Hurd, Sutton, Kirkland, Maybin, and Abernathy ...,,

And it's on the road...

Well.... To say it's a lot to overcome would be an understatement ...,

My hope... Our offense comes out clicking and we keep it a 4th qtr game in a shootout.

Can't have turnovers. And I'd be ok with aTm helping us out with a couple...

I think aTm wins, maybe by a TD... Somewhere around 70 total points scored...these offenses can give both defenses problems

Vols have a major win streak going and fans struggle to remember the last loss. The team may feel the same way and play lights out even though they are a serious underdog. Vols could get blown out or pull out a close win with Medley being a hero. We will know soon.

So, maybe since we're the underdog this time, this is when we play a complete game? We're starting off behind so we come out swinging instead of waiting til the second half?

Not that it means a whole hell of a lot, but if you compare TAMU's Rush Offense and Defense to their previous competition, you will see why their rush offense and defense look so good on paper.

I think Texas A&M is the real deal. Those wideouts are scary and they have 2 really good RBs and a QB who can make plays with his feet (and has some speed). They have strong pass rushers and the Chief is calling the plays. That said, I also think we are the real deal. I know that all of our games haven't been really pretty, but Auburn in 2010 beat Miss St barely in a ugly win, and beat freaking Kentucky with a last second field goal. So we can't always judge a great team by how we play every...single....week. I think Dobbs is the X factor. When he is on, he is one of the most electric players in the country and his confidence (and Debords confidence) in his down field passing is growing every week. I think Kelly steps up at RB, Chance Hall and the boys do a good enough job against that pass rush, and we do enough to get the win. Just a gut feeling.

John on the RTI podcast said he expected us to come out loose and play well today since we are the underdog, and kinda playing with house money since we have a strangle hold on the East. We'll see.

This team does not quit, and are well conditioned, they have yet to show signs of being gassed... so, keeping it close in the 4th I say they can get it done.
