100%. I don’t think we have time to let freshmen grow up. Need to work the portal hard. UK scored more points than they have in three seasons. I think the QB broke a record w 5 passing TD’s. Unacceptable and won’t get it done in the swamp or with OU and Vandy.

This may come as a shock to some but the ability to pull in a better staff on defense won’t be as easy as “buying them” to come.

Given all the firings and new openings that will be filled, getting a quality staff to come here that wants to coach a defense that will always be on the field longer than the offense is gonna be tough.

Heupel’s offense is one reason the other teams get a lot of drives and possessions. Convincing a top tier DC to come here compared to other programs with balanced
Offenses will be an issue.

This is a pretty good point. More valuable statistic to evaluate our defensive staff and players, would probably be points per minute instead of points per game. And you're offense has lightning fast scores and all we have is a fallen offensive lineman on the extra point to slow it down, then if it's the defense in a serious predicament. The people going to judge based on the points per game and that is not a good resume builder for a defensive coach.
