not above bubba because

We would have been above them if we didn't lay down in Columbia.
Exactly. Why our fans want to complain about the "system" being biased against us just has me SMH. As you pointed out, the responsibility for our situation rests squarely with our team. They didn't take care of business vs UGA and most importantly, SC jr and that has allowed us to be vulnerable to the whims of these admin types. No one to blame but ourselves.

They shouldn’t be in the injury counting business anyway. Because they are splitting hairs everyone has injuries. Some team overcome them, some rally around adversity. I have seen it, sure they might lose but no team should lose their spot if they earned it because of a injury. I think it is pure bull crap!
The committee is subjective as hell and always has been which is why I've not been complaining about Bama over UT. It's not a "add up this criteria and that criteria and the other" and there's an answer kind of choice.

If it was, they wouldn't use a committee. Duh.

We’re not talking about NOW!

Why are some of you not understanding this?

We beat Bama when it mattered. Doesn’t matter how we won whether it was by a field goal or two TDs.

Discrediting wins over losses is the dumbest argument I’ve ever read on here.
Except we are talking about right now. Bama is the better team right now and it factored into their ranking.

If how you win or lose doesn’t matter, why did we bother with the last score against Mizzou? Why was everyone saying “win big for the committee.” How you win and lose absolutely matters. We had good wins early on. That led to a #1 ranking. Now we have a really bad loss. It lead to our #7 ranking.

any old stats of teams w/ identical records, same conference, being ranked above the team that beat them head to head..just curious, can't remember any.

It's politics. You swap resumes and Alabama would still be in front 💯. I don't care how many points they lost @ LSU by.

I don’t think right now we could beat Bama again at home with Milton at QB. Getting destroyed at SC makes me feel like we deserve to be ranked below Bama.

We would be above bubba if hooker had not got hurt, and everybody knows this to be true. Why has Michigan not dropped since there star RB had season ending surgery?

Because we gave up 63 to SC, this board continues to try to pretend that never happened

OP Michigan hasn't dropped because they haven't lost. While running back is an important position it is not the leader of the offense like the QB is. Can you honestly say you think our offense is the same without Hooker?
I don't feel that it is. Sure we thumped Vandy but they are far from elite. I don't believe we would beat Bama if we played them this Saturday. JMHO

Because they beat the #2 ranked team without Corum. Well he did have 2 carries for 5 yards. Michigan showed the can play a highly ranked team without Corum and win. They still could lay an egg to Purdue and loss.

It’s to bad our last regular season game isn’t against a highly ranked team (assuming we win) to show the committee how we might do in the playoffs.

There’s a reason they won’t let the media or anyone in the room where they discuss it all

What do you think really happened in Columbia? I personally think the team thought they could just show up and win after they blew out Missouri the week before.

Thiiiiiissssss!!!

Tennessee screwed Tennessee.

All these tears over something so very clearly obvious.

The CFP's WRITTEN guidelines has 5 criteria for consideration, UT was better in 4 of the 5 and tied in the other one. How do you WEIGHT significance of losses over those or ESPECIALLY over the value of best WINS. What wins can Bama put up to match our wins over THEM and LSU.... Their top dog is beating the Pirate I think. Should they also consider the point differential in victories.

Should our dismal loss at SC, especially after the next game they also took out Clemson at their place really be valued more than our head to head win? Pretty weak to value who you lose to more than who you beat. Hope the committee has heard the challenges to ignoring the guidelines to date and fears greater challenges if they sustain it in the rankings that really count. Can they really discount the fact we lead the nation in Scoring and Total Offense and beat Bama head to head which is almost ALWAYS the first tie breaker in ANY other championship seeding? We have lots of bullets, Bama has our loss to SC. How do they win the war?

But above all, it is their guidelines, they published them, how do they get value OTHER things over them when teams have equal records and back to back in their own rankings? Maybe if after going down the list as a tie breaker. Not in play here.

I have absolutely no idea. But if that's the case, they for sure are not a championship team. The KY and Mizzou games didn't do this team any favors if they didn't have the mindset that it takes max effort from every player, on every snap, in every quarter, in every game.

I don't understand the seeming lack of effort on some of the plays. No "want to" at all. I just don't get it.

Not sure a player should be knocked out of Heisman consideration because of injury. He played in 10 games. That should be enough to fairly evaluate.

Perhaps because the sub for their RB ran for 200+yds and 9.8yd/carry against the #2 team in the country. Basically, they didn't fall off a bit.

Did Milton's numbers look like Hooker's? That's not to diss Milton, he played fine but he's not Hooker and Vanderbilt isn't Ohio State.
