Thanks for the link erob.

NIU may not register with anyone not from that area but it's a school bigger than UTK.

Michael Turner of the San Diego Chargers was a running back for the Huskies - he's a starter anywhere else in the NFL (plus he ran over the Crimson Tide in NIU's victory at Bryant Dennny).

When I was there, football meant nothing but the first game I went to, LeShon Johnson ran for over 300 yards and 5 TD's. This board would remember him if he qualified for UT. He didn't make it and his replacement was one Charlie Garner. LeShon put up just short of 2000 yards his senior season. He, Michael Turner and more recently Garrett Wolfe represent a pretty decent line of near 2000 yard RB's at NIU since I was affiliated with them.

I can't help get over the feeling that we've come to accept that this "happens" in America. It blows and I don't know what else to say.

I"m really proud of the "burner" and garrett and what they accomplished. i agree that turner could be a starter anywhere. i really don't know what to say either just that prayers go out to alums, faculty, staff, president peters, students, and the victims, and the gunmans father. even though he son did an unspeakable thing, he's lost a son and has to live with what he did for the rest of his life, his father needs to be respected also.
