I just recently relocated to NC and remember reading a discussion regarding the lack of a UT license plate in the state of NC.
I received an email today from the Alumni Association about getting a UT plate approved in NC and am sharing for those who do not receive the email communications from TN.
I'd love it if we could get this done and have UT represent in NC:
You know you want one . . . a UT license plate!
Ever get stuck in traffic behind someone with an Auburn or Florida license plate? Are you wondering "Does UT have one of those?" Well, our time has come. Let's build the "Vol Nation" here in North Carolina. The Charlotte, NC UT Alumni Chapter and the State of North Carolina, with the help of many of your fellow alums, are working to make the dream of a "Power T" plate a reality, but we need your help!
What do you need to do?
Please fill out the online form and click "submit". You are joining your fellow alumni in supporting the campaign for a "Power T" license plate in North Carolina.
The NC legislators will then vote on allowing this plate to be created. The legislation will set the cost per plate, which is a cost in addition to the annual vehicle registration. The design shown above is the design that will be submitted to the State of NC for approval.
