The North Carolina coaching staff seemed to push the right buttons with Diamond...helping her become National Freshman Of The Year. The games I watched when she was in a NC uniform revealed a focused, fiercely competitive player who wasn't shy about putting body, heart, and soul on the line in an effort to win games. Last night the entire team seemed at times to care less about competing on a basketball court, going through the motions and not caring about the outcome. I honestly saw a couple of smiles on faces in the waning moments of the game...must have been thinking about anything but the game. I'm beginning to wonder if maybe not enough credit was given to the UNC staff in regard to their success in getting a less talented team than the lady vols to play TEAM ball.

These are still 18, 19 and 20 year old young ladies and they need to have a coach that can teach them how to play basketball. I'm quiet sure that there are several high school teams that could give them a good run. There is no motivator on this team at all. Even the coaches have no motivation at all. They set there on the bench with their clipboards looking like a lost heard of sheep. It's the coaches that get paid the big money to teach these young ladies values, morals, basketball, technique and to motivate and keep the attention of this team at all times. Holly and her assistants are completely lost with this team and I don't see it being the talent. I see it as a coaching staff that knows nothing about drawing up plays for the most talent the Lady Vols have seen in a long time and this staff has never changed to the style of basketball other teams are playing. The plays we are still running have been around for years. When you lose the coaching staff, you lose the team. Quit blaming these girls and place it where it belongs, it's not going to get any better. If Diamond had a coach to teach her to be the leader and run this team, maybe she could make a big difference. So far I have yet to see a real leader on this team

Yes I'm "quiet" sure they look like a "heard" of sheep to you but, it seems to me you're just saying "fahr Holly"
because there is no hope that this coaching staff will get it turned around...heavy sigh...:thud:
PS. I got it we'll clone Pat...yeah, that's the ticket...:)

GO LADY VOLS AND HOLLY!
