Yep. Someone found a "noose" on a construction site requiring a shutdown, police and TBI investigation, counseling for the workers, gnashing of teeth and pulling of hair.

Someone probably tied a figure-8 loop, a bowline or a taut-line hitch and some woke numbskull who knows nothing had a freak-out. Then because of all the ruckus that was raised and the woke numbskull was high enough, they could not be embarrassed when it was discovered it was not a hangman's noose. The charade had to be carried on at that point. I've not seen a picture of said noose. My guess is someone undid it when they saw what it was to avoid the resultant embarrassement.

1) have to wonder about the intestinal fortitude of workers who require counseling over knots. Most construction crews I've known would probably figure out how to weed those morons out of the crew.
