Noon kickoffs — am I the only one that despises these

I despise noon kickoffs, am I the only one? Yes I know the start times are totally driven by TV and this translates to major money for college athletics but noon starts seem strange!
It's even worse if you're in the Central Time Zone and the home team.

But yea, I also hate them for games I am attending.

Whenever we visit a team in the Central time zone, I think the noon (11 local time) kickoff benefits us by basically making it a neutral crowd.

That said if we are at home, I wish they would reserve the noon games for later in the season...it can be a tad warm in early September and 90 degrees just ain't football weather.

For the lsu game--I'll be staying in New Orleans to party. After a late partying night on Friday in the French Quarter, I'll start early Saturday with some beignets at Cafe Du mond, then head over to a nice bottomless mimoso / bloody mary brunch at Antoines in the Quarter, then over to watch the game at Manning's -- with giant screens and great po boys. Post-game, to celebrate, head back to the quarter for some great cajun seafood at Acme Oyster House---after a quick break at the hotel, take in some some great jazz on Frenchman St. and more great seafood at Gallier Restaurant & Oyster Bar.

Well, the way the question was asked... No. You aren't the only one. But if you meant to ask if everyone else hates them then the answer is no.

The 12:00n timeslot suits me just fine. Saturday night games against LSU are legendary for upsets.

Would rather have the 230 CBS slot but 11am in Baton Rouge is still better than a 7pm game with all those drunk Cajuns

I like early games much better than 7 or 7:30 games. It is a lot easier to get up early Sunday morning And read all the stories about another Tennessee win.

Being a west coast Vol, it means 9am for me. It just ain’t right. Wish the networks could throw an audible and trade with a mid day day game . This match along with Ark/Bama are the marquis games of next weekend.

I know I’ll get hammered for this, but I love Thursday night games. No other games to compete with and you have 2 days to either celebrate or mourn before being able to enjoy and full Saturday of other games with no stress or worry about the vols
