Tech fans are already saying they'll be back next year. Since Texas came runner-up to Oklahoma twice.
I get the logic, but I sincerely hope not. But also, not quite the same thing. Texas stood no chance against OU in 2022, and in 2024 the softball world still revolved around Oklahoma - and Texas was the underdog in the championship series. Not sure you can call Tech underdogs this year, or even last year I think either teams had a good chance of winning.
I think Canady is a really big loss. You don't just replace her with another pitcher with similar numbers thinking they're the same pitcher. She gave up a lot of runs this year, but in the Semifinals she was mostly dominant. Took out Alabama and held them nearly scoreless in her combined pair of appearances.
Should've been out of the 5th inning in this game giving up no runs. Besides the 1 solo shot to Henry.... the other runs seem mostly errors initiated. Don't think they'll easily get another big stage pitcher because.......... the truth is there's not that many that exists.
