There a few teams on there that can compete and maybe beat Uconn. But with Strong as the center piece, the expected growth of Blanca Quinonez, the addition of freshman Olivia Vukosa and a very stable returning back court with some really good shooters on this team, it is going to be tough to do. Geno has Size (3 @ 6 foot 5) talent and speed this year team.

It is my opinion that Uconn will take a small step back this season. I think they will lose 2-3 games on their OOC schedule. Strong will not have a Bueckers or Fudd this season to relieve pressure. BQ is a very good player but not in the same class as the two superstars. Shade and Arnold are solid albeit streaky and not special in any way. The freshman OV will be an excellent addition to their lineup but I suspect her impact as a freshman playing in the post will not be as significant as Husky fans are hoping for. We will see if my hunches are correct but this year’s version of Uconn looks mortal.

I agree... outside of Strong this team is above average across the board, and she (Strong) took the summer off. The team could gel as the season goes but this is not last year's UCONN by a longshot. Geno has also turned sour along the way. He is still the GOAT but he is slipping.

Didn't Jana El Alfy play a major role in 2024 getting them to the final 4? That is another 6-5 post that was not used as much last year due to the depth chart. They have 3 posts at 6-5 with one with significant experience and the addition of OV is huge. Some others just didn't play as much last year that I think are going to surprise people like Kayleigh Heckel, Ziebell, and Cheli. They are loaded and will be wining that they lost so much until some of these other step up. Michigan and South Carolina will give them tough time, but I don't think either of them can beat them.

I didn't necessarily say that, especially with the return of Watkins and Kitts, but I am not sold on their guard play yet. Uconn will expose guard play and I just don't see any true point guard on this SC team. This will be the first year in many years that Dawn doesn't have a true high ranked point guard and I think she will be pulling out a lot of hair this season because of it.

Won’t happen. The 10th circuit has already paused the Colorado district court’s injunction. It willl never fly.

As to us vs. UConn, I think either can win but neither may be able to win twice. The second game will be the one that matters.

SC is way deeper and more talented than Uconn this season. Everyone is going on past reputation for Uconn. I expect a close game vs the connies in Connecticut early in the season but in no way think Uconn will win that game. Just my opinion. Last I checked SC has 10 McDonald AA’s on the roster. Coach Staley will have a little something extra for geno this year after his unsportsmanlike melt down last year. Not to mention he used the off season to continue to disparage her program. Yeah @sgacock he has become a recent version of Woody Hayes, needs to retire. And strong needs to stop ripping her own damned jersey off. But I digress. Peace.
