The Big Ten chose Rutgers because they wanted the New York city market. For some reason they didn’t realize New York City is more aligned with UConn (it’s the sixth borough) than Rutgers ever was. Comparing the University of Connecticut’s athletic success compared to Rutgers’s athletic success. I would have to think the Big Ten regrets their decision. Of course, the only sporting concern they had was football, and UConn has not ever had a decent football team.

If UConn was afforded 73 million additional dollars, they could’ve fielded a decent enough football team. This year they were 2-1 against the ACC and beat the ACC‘s conference championship team, with the one loss involving snatching defeat out of the hands of victory.

All that to say, yes it would be nice to be in the Big Ten, but they never asked.

I get that you feel this way (you are not alone), but for the more "monogamous" fan, it's root for my team only. Root for other teams when their win will benefit my team.

I don't like Vic's constant whining. Not rooting for Texas. Didn't like him at Miss St. either. I don't really like Dawn, but respect what she has done and built. Still not rooting for her. Enjoyed seeing her melt down and lose it emotionally in the NC game last year. Mulkey? Oh hell no. Again, respect, but almost always root against LSU. Vandy? It does seem like if you get within five feet of Blakes you are getting a foul called on you. Get within two feet and they may go to the monitor to look for flagrant. Nope, not rooting for them.

If you are just talking money and TV contracts, I see your point. But as a "monogamous" fan, I'm not rooting for a conference and will not be one of these "SEC" cult-like chanters.

No. Actually, it was due to the lack of inclusion of ACC regular season champion, Duke. Thought it may have been due to association with Kara. Igbok…

Trust me. I get that you hate the balance of the conference with a blue fire passion.

Oops. You watch Sunday by any chance? Blakes had 34 pt and shot just 4 free throws in spite of the ball being in her hands constantly. Vandy shot just 6 total fts and the LVs shot 10.

And you said Vic was overly whiney?

Oh trust me, I know that some Lady Vols fans will beat their chest and scream about how great the SEC in when South Carolina, Texas or whomever wins a National Championship.🤮🤮🤮

No. I still believe Blakes has the referee's favor this year in aggregate. Sometimes so bad the game is hard to watch. And Vic is a chronic whiner. Stand by that too.

Yes, and I saw Cooper pushing Blakes several times, but did not mention as that seems to be part of the game.
