I worry about her choice. She has spent her young life being the hero of her hometown. That's all she has known and to lose that could be difficult. Columbia will never see her in the same light. As Thomas Wolfe said, "you can't go home again".She made a choice has to accept the consequences. Fans will be fans. The only way she plays there is if they are your home and home.
His novel was titled You can't go home again.
Any special reason to cite a North Carolina writer?
If the NCAA approves another year making all players able to play 5 seasons instead of four then she could play another year. Everyone that has only played four years could play another season. I think Barnes is supposed to be holding two scholarships just in case it is passed cause a couple players would be coming back on the men's team. Some say the chance of it happening in June is low more likely Janaury. That would still allow current players like Spearman, Barker, Wolfenbarger and Whitehorn to play another season other than next season if they so desired. I think it is eventually going to pass don't know if it will be June and we could only take one player if it did.Can someone tell me what’s up with Spencer, I’m sort of confused. A fan posted this on FB, “It’s appears we will know the 5th year court case June 15… maybe Spencer returns?! That would be awesome!” Is Spencer eligible to get an another year?
If her mother moves with her it will help.In contrast to some here, I think that Malaysia might have big time success with Mulkey at LSU. She has way more talent than this past year's crop of guard transfers there and I think the speed of her game fits LSU much better than Van Lith's. She will have plenty of help with the guards Johnon and Williams returning as well, but her game adds another dimension. Unlike some recent players at LSU, Williams and Johnson are known for getting along well with everyone. I imagine she feels like she has something to prove, so motivation on her end won't be a factor. I think it comes down to whether if she and Mulkey can click, which I agree that the jury is out about this. The motivating factor for all including the other players is that they all know that LSU will be a major contender if she does well there. If not, they will probably be more like an Elite 8 team again.
Maybe. I can see her getting yanked if her 1 on 5 game isn't producing points and/or results in a TO or two.In contrast to some here, I think that Malaysia might have big time success with Mulkey at LSU. This would be awesome news i wonder if this is the reason they are holding one scholly? Can someone tell me what’s up with Spencer, I’m sort of confused. It would be “awesome news” for every team….I don’t want to see NCAA ball get to that, where every player has 5 years instead of four to PLAY. Add in redshirt/injury years and now JC exemptions and these players are hanging around 6-7 years now…it’s college, come on.This would be awesome news i wonder if this is the reason they are holding one scholly?
@1reVOLver , as you are certainly aware, the Carolinas were once one, and it is not newsworthy that the SC colony was first, but the heritage of the the two states is so intertwined that there will always be overlap and common ground. Rivals? Yes yes. But pick a sandlot fight amongst states and these two are like cousins, even if they are fighting cousins. His novel was titled You can't go home again.

Fulwiley will be a sensation just as she was in her first two seasons at Carolina. She will be a sensation because she is supremely skilled, but the question remains if she will be super nova next year given more minutes at LSU. It will be interesting to watch, no doubt. Some of her minute restrictions at SC were due to the talent she was competing against, some were due to her propensity to be street ball, but make no mistake she is a name in this game because she is a unique talent, perhaps Mulkey will bring the best out of her. Dawn was trying hard to mold her in her fashion, it didn’t seem to be a perfect fit to be honest. I was surprised to learn that over the course of the season Lay took 80 more shots than the next highest shooting player on the team. Kim like Dawn will not tolerate defensive lapses.Fulwiley will be a sensation just as she was in her first two seasons at Carolina. We have few issues with the State of NC. It's the despicable way the tobacco road schools treated South Carolina causing us to leave the ACC. Clemson planned to leave with us but chickened out at the last minute.@1reVOLver , as you are certainly aware, the Carolinas were once one, and it is not newsworthy that the SC colony was first, but the heritage of the the two states is so intertwined that there will always be overlap and common ground. Rori was injured before the midpoint of the season. The NCAA added another conditional requirement for redshirts that if a player is injured before the midpoint of the season, they can get another year.Does anyone know how Rori Harmon for TX is getting a fifth year? She played 12 out of 38 games in 2023-24, so to me that exceeds the 30% rule. And she would not have been part of the Covid class.
If she plays within the confines of what Mulkey wants. If not....she and her mom will be unhappy. Fulwiley has never been a lock down defender and played in more a careless manner than in a team-oriented manner. That paid off in high school but hurt her at South Carolina and Dawn still gave her the green light most of the time. Fulwiley's game will not mesh with Mulkey and her disciplined mindset. I see a few bright spots until it gets out of hand.....and it will get out of hand. She should have chosen a team that goes on offense and relies less on defense. She wants to be a 'Sports Center" star and that is not the Mulkey way. I could be wrong....but I have a feeling I am right.Fulwiley will be a sensation just as she was in her first two seasons at Carolina. Comments from SC teammates: "she wasn't held back".If she plays within the confines of what Mulkey wants. If not....she and her mom will be unhappy.
