I have to discuss this somewhere, I haven't seen a thread about him.

Such a tragic story, my heart breaks, I can't imagine the pain his family is going through.

Being a father of a boy nearly identical to little Noah, it hurts, my stomach has been in knots. When my wife wife texted me the news this afternoon I had to sit down and at work and gather myself. When I went to pickup my son from school which only takes about 25 minutes felt like forever. Anxiety never bothered me until now.
Any insight to this situation ?
How does a Christian family deal with something like this?
How can you not hold the grandmother accountable?
I've lost friends and grandparents, 2 uncles at 59 yo, but I have a son of my own and this situation is gut wrenching.
God be with the family and Pinson residents,Sherrifs,SAR,LEOs
I just can't imagine what the boy went through.

It is heartbreaking. I can't imagine to put myself in his parents shoes concerning blame or anything. I just pray their heart's get comfort, though I know it'd seem impossible.

If it had been any other time of the year when this happened other than winter he just might still be alive. It's simply been too cold the past week for any human, especially a toddler to survive prolonged exposure at night. One article I read said the kid liked to run away and make people chase him and he also liked to hide. I imagine the grandmother is just as devastated at her grandson's loss especially since he was under her care at the time. My heart goes out to her and the family.

We all are. Many searched days for him

Its something that will haunt all of us forever. We had helicopters with every piece of high tech equipment. Dogs from all over came here. National Guard brought in heat sensing technology. 1000s of volunteers combed over 1000 acres and he's found just outside the original search grid

FLIR never picked him up and dogs wouldn't keep a scent for long.

It's just the most helpless feeling you could have knowing you couldn't bring him home alive

This. I have a nephew and niece that are around the same age. I can't imagine them being alone and suffering to the point of death. Its awful.

A situation like this, though not very common, makes you think about possibly buying your child some sort of wearable GPS tracking device for outdoor use just for the worst case scenario like this.

I agree Coug. One thing baffles me though. The low temps were single digits Sunday and Monday while he was lost. I told my wife Wednesday it didnt look good with the cold and the snow that had come in.
But I heard the guy say at the press conference that they seen his tracks in the snow and thats how they found him. That means he was at least alive til tuesday or Wednesday? That is mind boggling at his age.

Sad sad story. Prayers for the family especially the grandmother.

I have been unable to get over this since I have a 2 year old grandson I would die for. A lot of people tried to bring this boy home to his family alive. For their efforts I am very grateful. But something so basic as the size of the search grid slipped through the cracks? I am at a loss for words.

From my understanding, they formed the search grid on how far a small child could travel in the conditions and terrain.

Just reminds you how tough our little ones actually are, this boy didn't quit. He went to sleep and woke up in heaven.

Thank the Lord for his provision for the little ones as well as his grace for the rest of us. Wish I could have helped in that search. A 2 year old that is active can go multiple miles in one day even in the toughest conditions. They don't reason, they just go. I am sure the searchers are beating themselves up enough, they don't need others piling on. Prayers for healing.

According to the Jackson Sun, a local newspaper here in Jackson, Noah Israel Chamberlin's funeral service will be held Wednesday Jan. 27th at 1 pm. at Fellowship Bible Church. That's located at 141 Pleasant Plains Rd in North Jackson. The family requests that everyone who can to please wear Red or Blue to honor Noah because he loved Thomas the Train.

Man, that hits you right in the heart. So sad what this family and Noah have been through.
