No two loss SEC team is making the playoffs!

I don't think it will be necessary. I think TCU will beat K-State. I think USC will finish the job out west. That makes a playoff that the committee and fans across the country can accept... that doesn't affirm the idea of SEC bias.

If TCU loses and it’s between them and Bama for the fourth spot, I can promise you Bama will get in over them. Always look at the dollars when it’s a close decision. Previous criteria and logic be damned they will take the money and team that brings the most audience.

If Bama gets in the playoffs, then you’ll know the committee is completely rigged.

I agree. They lost two games to teams that will have a combined six losses. And those were the best teams they played…they beat no one of any significance.

Vols should be ahead of the Tide. But, still yet, I wouldn’t put Vols ahead of Georgia, Michigan, or TCU even if they lose…or Ohio State.

It would be fair to say Oh State is the best 1 loss team... 5th.
Tn is the best 2 loss team..... 6th
Bama at 7.

The CFP committee will not put a two loss Alabama or Tennessee in the playoffs no matter what happens next weekend.

Georgia, Michigan, and TCU are in even if they lose next weekend. The final spot is between USC and Ohio State. If USC wins, they are in. If they lose, Ohio State with one loss is in.

The Big Ten and national media would lose their minds if a two loss Alabama made the playoffs. Not going to happen.
Not rite psi got pummeled and dropped from 2 to 5 tn lost to sc and dropped like a rock and s o s means noting I guess so everyone should play cup cakes only What a joke the playoffs are and tn beat alabubba and head to head means Nothing

I will be. There is Alabama fatigue across the nation and whether they admit it or not the committee will take that into account.
That and they're just not very exciting to watch this season.

No 2 loss SEC team deserves to be in the play off. This Tennessee team w/o Hooker and with this defense is not a play off caliber team. But, our day is coming.
If there's a chance to get in and somehow not play UGA 1st then I could see this team still sneaking into the championship by edging Michigan.

Georgia
Michigan
TCU

Are all locks
the only possible way TCU might get left out is if K-ST beat them by like 25 points or more.

TCU has the #1 SOR their SOS will be better than OSU, Georgia, Michigan or USC. OSU lost by a lot to Michigan at home and Michigan didn’t have their best player.

TCU would have to get literally stomped.

Only real possible opening is if USC were to lose. In that scenario……OSU gets it. The committee has spoken.

“If” Michigan loses or barely wins and LSU beats Georgia there could be a slight possibility the committee could swap Bama and Georgia simply based on the losses……if they felt it was real close before.

Win or lose GA is in.
Michigan is in. Win or lose
TCU is in. Win or lose

USC/Ohio state battle for 4th spot. Which is complete bs.
Had we beaten USCjr as expected and Vandy like we did….. we are 3rd playing Michigan in rd 1 ugh.
Bama at 6 is the most baffling.

I think LSU would have to really lay the wood to GA for it to matter. A one loss GA, even to a 3 loss LSU, cannot be lower than Bama who lost to the same 3 loss LSU AND TN.

GA stays unless they do what we did at South Carolina.

No doubt

Just saying that because it “could possibly” impact strength of schedule enough.

I don’t know how close Bama and OSU are; however if they were extremely close. An LSU win…..making them a bit better of a win would slightly improve Bamas SOS and resume. While a Michigan loss would lower their own standing and thus OSU’s on SOS…….just slightly.

Again this would be the ONLY way Bama could get in “over” OSU and it’s doubtful.

Had nothing to do really with Georgia not
Making it in. As stated they are a lock.

This. Everyone is stressing over nothing. Bama is not getting in. Just enjoy the Bammer's anger when they are left out come Sunday.

I'm not going to enjoy them getting a better bowl game than us. Or that, despite all evidence pointing toward Vols > Bama in the playoff ranking criteria, that's not the result we got. And if you look down the line, the expected result for the Vols being ahead of Bama is exactly how every other similar matchup played out throughout the rest of the top 25.

So many are hohum about it, and I can't understand it. Do you not see the precedent this sets? What if in a few years it's two teams at 11-1 fighting for that #4 spot and the Vols get left out, because the committee just decides some random injury has crippled us, despite no evidence of that on the field? Or they decide one loss to a team Bama didn't play means we aren't better than them, despite a head to head win? Oh well...

I'll be shocked if TCU loses and still makes the playoff, they have Ohio State and Alabama just waiting for USC and TCU to lose so they can slide into 3 and 4.

Hilarious listening to a few talking heads acting like Ohio State fought valiantly in that home loss to Michigan (minus Blake Corum). Meanwhile UT's road loss to a higher ranked team by fewer points was domination from start to finish.

I hate it more than anything in the world, but let USC and TCU lose this weekend and Ohio State and Bama will be in. It'll be the committee's wet dream.
