No Practice # 9 Updates Tonight?

Closed is closed right...? Unless Butch gets on here and let's us know what's up

True, just didn't know if any "insiders" had info. Also thought I had seen updates for practice # 6 which was closed as well but that must have been the bourbon talking. Looked back and found no # 6 updates.

My bad. Carry on.

I got ya bro. From my guy:
"Tyler Byrd continues to impress, this time on a trick play 40 yard TD bomb to his QB, JG. His touch had Manning calling him afterwards for advice.
Dobbs has greatly improved on his deep ball. One time he was being sacked, spun around to where he was facing his own endzone, and somehow threw the ball backwards, 60 yards to a triple covered Malone who fought off the 3 defenders for the catch, then highstepped into the endzone. The play was waved off for for taunting, but new defensive leader Kirkland had a short conversation with the head ref who quickly picked up the flag, siting that he had made a mistake.
The defense had their time in the spot light as Barnett KMac Kongbo and Vereen were the only players on the field during a goalline formation, amazingly still all 4 sacked the QB.
It was a day that both the offense and defense preformed well enough to win the afternoon. In the end, Paul Bain was the only one left standing in a free for all hail Mary play."

- I can't site my source or he will get in trouble for reporting a closed practice.

Did your guy mention them running plays from the 90s Nebraska playbook with JRM as QB and Big Mac as FB pitching to King Kong?

Not trying to cause a fuss, but in that video of the D line this morning at practice I didn't see Kongbo or Vereen. I know Vereen has some bumps and bruises, anyone know anything about why Kongbo wasn't there? Literally everyone else was bit him (and Vereen).

I saw this on his Twitter. Maybe the coaches wanted him to do some different type of skill work/spend some maintenance time in the training room. I'd guess he's perfectly fine.

Not trying to be wierd but utsports.com has the same practice updates.......so

It's updates from the Knoxville sports writers, not exclusive to volnation. We're fortunate to have a couple of posters (Fingers and Hardknox, sorry if I'm forgetting someone) that are able to be at the same practices.

This is solid stuff. Guys, we're gonna be good this year. I mean, all four defensive linemen sacked the quarterback in practice.

And Kirkland knows how to work the refs. I'm so excited for this season
