Thought I was the only one that saw the block in the back. Kept waiting for the announcers to say something but all Gary Danielson does is tell everyone what the already know.Georgia first touchdown does not occur without Godwin block in the back. While we have bad luck refs given it toes us hard this year.
Bad teams don’t get the calls. We have to suck it up until we start winning outright.
Like it or not there’s some truth to this. HIghly ranked teams tend to get called a lot less it seems.
But I will say, holding and blocking in the back are being called less and less in college football in general these days. You could count in double digits the amount of holding WVU and UF got away with alone. It’s just not called a lot anymore.
It isn't that they were penalized more that counts. It's the two blocks in the back against Georgia on the fumble return for a touchdown. Those types of penalties have got to be called. They may have still scored after the penalty was applied, but they also might not have. Could have made a big difference in the game. I keep seeing our guys get taken to the ground because the O lineman has two hands full of the jersey, the O lineman has his arms around our guy, obvious targeting calls that aren't being made. All I want is the game to be called fairly. Those non-calls can affect the outcome of the game. They were more penalized than we were, so was Florida.
