No need to worry about conditioning....

Yeah, cause we all know that Florida, Georgia, and Alabama do not condition their players.

:eek:lol:OK you got me there... perhaps I should have said its going to be nice to see us field a team that is in better shape than in years past and not give up in the fourth quarter. Would be nice to see our O line impose their will on our opponents esp in the 4th. I do however realize that this will still be a tough battle due to our lack of depth on the O line.

Hehe! No problem! I normally don't like sarcasm but I just couldn't let you off the hook with that one!

Yes I agree with you that I think our team will be stronger, tougher, and have more testicular fortitude than in years past. I'm still pissed after seeing our guys laughing and joking on the sideline while we were getting stomped by SC last year. I could go the rest of my life without seeing that crap again.....ever!

The S&C coach can make a huge difference.

Due to the raw talent available, UF, UGA, Bama, and LSU don't have to make it a point of emphasis like UT does right now or USC does generally.

I noticed last year that several guys who had looked like marginal recruits for both USC and UT looked great playing for the Gamecocks. I watched them play several games and don't recall them ever getting beat because they were physically overmatched except for UF toward the end of the season.... and of course they were having alot of personnel issues too.

I agree completely. The SC game was one of the hardest games for me to watch last year because I in no way believe that they were any better of a team than we were. I actually believe we have/had better tallent than they do/did. Of course at that point in the season our team had far more problems than just not having been pushed hard enough in the offseason. But that being said, I think that discipline begins with the conditioning program (JMO).

Coach O Photo looks great, and now Gran is not wearing his Auburn tie. Mitch Browning is the only GA?

I believe in it so much Justin that I am ok with the kids that left because they could not hang with the demands of the new program.

That explains a ton seeing as how the S&C program at UTC consists of 12 oz beer curls and midnight runs to Buffalo Wild wings.

I like Larry Bird's quote on this, "My team is not physical enough, and they never will be."
You can't emphasis conditioning too much.

I spoke with a former Alabama/South Carolina players who played LB/FB in college the other day and he said, "Black Iron don't play". We talked for a bit and he said that the summer workouts are harder than the spring workouts and that, "He feels sorry for them, but they will be in great shape to start the season.". He was training at D-1 here in the Franklin/Brentwood area and working out for the Titans and Saints in the future. Good guy.

Its " Black Steel" not Black Iron!!:post-4-1090547912:

By the way, the new pics of the coaches are up.

I wonder if he ever stumbles in late after a night out with the boys and has to say "lighten up Frances".
