IF she is so much better, how come she can beat UConn in the regular season and still lose to them in the Championship game? Last I checked the only coach that you can truly say is better than Holly is Geno. All others are behind him by far. You so called fans kill me, first with your she doesn't know how to teach them to play defense. She gets that in order, then it's she doesn't know how to teach rebounding. Checks that off the list, then its she can't coach an effective offense. Bam got that one in the bag, now its she can't get the team to the final four. When will it stop??? No GREAT COACH, not Pat nor Geno. Not Coach K or Dean Smith. Not one GREAT HOF Coach won a championship in their first 3 years at the helm. Relax people, she's doing a great job considering the fact that she replace a legend!

I respectively and whole heartedly diagree with you on the above. That's just not true.

A couple of post have mentioned that ND played without their center... umm they did.
1) UCONN played against ND without their starting center, and defeated ND.
2) We played ND with their starting center, and ND defeated us.

My point is, when you have your starting 5 players on the floor, you are a different team than when you only have 4 of your 5 starters playing.

Example.... Tenn vs. Texas. IF we played Texas today with Izzy... it would be a different game because we would be playing with our starting center.

Conclusion: The ND/UCONN game can't compare to ND/TENN game.

UConn beats ND with their starting center, IMO.

Wow! I thought we lived in a place that supported freedom of speech. No one is calling Holly a bad person, and you are right, she is not CPS. However, Lady Vols is a brand and Hart is not going to let this program go down the road like the football program. This is not a, like Holly and not like Holly issue, it could be very true that she can not coach at this level. ND was without their center and we never showed any signs that we could take control of the game, this is not the first time. As long as people's post are respectful and they do not use bad language, both sides have a right to support or not to support whoever they please. Last I looked, I still lived in the United States.

Nice post. Better keep looking over your shoulder. :)

GO VOLS!

If TENN can play like they did the first half they should have a good chance at beating S.C. By the time they play them, UCONN would have knocked them down a few pegs and softened them up for the LVs. If they can take care of business until then, that win should give them a #1 seed.

If anything, a UConn loss will make them regroup. You aren't beating SC in Columbia. Sorry. Anyway, best of luck in the other games.

Too many people are pro coach more than they are pro program. If Holly gets it done I am fine with her. If she doesn't then send her ass packing. Right now she appears to be improving as a coach. As long as she is doing that I have no problem. She needs to get to the elite level. She is not there yet. If she doesn't get there then bye bye Holly. We need to be in the Final Four at least every other year-5 years out of 10. Pat did it like about 2/3of the time. I only expect Holly to do it half the time.

You are right on target. Holly is not at the elite level as of yet. She is alright but not elite. This is about the program not if we like, love or Hate Holly. Holly supporters like to mention how much basketball knowledge she has, well knowing something and teaching it to others is a different ball game. Just because your jersey is retired does not make one a good or bad coach. Right now we do not have that pure game changer who at anytime can take over a game and break the will of an opponent. Izzy, had she made a very of the shots against ND, could have been that game changer. Holly knows she made a mistake with Jewell Lloyd and leaving the back door wide open. It is part of the learning process. The test is will she repeat the same mistake.

I am not a next year type of person, but next year will be a test to see if Holly can lead the Lady Vols into the elite category. Diamond D. Is a game changer and Russell, if as good as advertised with repaired feet, can be another game changer. We can see that Graves has the ability to be an occasional game changer. Let us add to this a potentially good supporting cast Middleton, Carter, Jones, perhaps Nared and Tucker and the incoming guard everyone is talking about. That has all the makings of a very good team. We still need a big girl or two who can come in and provide a few quality minutes. We have Moore but may have to go to the JC level as Pat did a few times. I want to win now but next year, baring injuries, may be the tale of the tape if Holly is the one who can lead us into the elite category with one or more potential game changers. The potential will be there.

This year's game is in CT and if it is a close one you are probably right. But so many times in the past a top ranked team gets their butts kicked by 25 and it seems they go on a downward spiral for a few weeks. If that happens, UTENN might give them a game... even in Columbia.

The USC/UCONN game will tell a lot about USC and its position at the top of the heap in the elite category. Losing to UCONN will not drop them from the elite programs, but how they win or lose will tell us, or give us an indication, if it is still UCONN and everybody else. I think that it will be a good game and will not be in shock to see the Gamecocks win. There will be two very good coaches matching wits with teams that take on their personalities. Both have game changers, Wilson plays like an experienced player. Both teams have quality players including contributing freshmen.

Can LV beat USC? Miracles have happened but Holly would have to coach an outstanding game and the team's play and basketball IQ would have to be at its highest level and maybe a little beyond. There are a lot of difference between the teams but one of those is Dawn's development of her freshman class. For their age and experience White and Wilson are very good player. There are two types of 5 stars, 5A and 5B, White and Wilson are both 5A.

Yes we do have IT in us we just have to put IT on the floor. I believe it will be a good game. No matter, I love the Lady Vols. In the A&M game we showed some offense and much more defense than we showed in the ND game. Let us not forget lay ups, or lack there of, and a free throw or so, spelled our fate against ND. We can question why the backdoor was left open or why we played man to man when a zone may have been best. We can even go off the cliff and talk about the coaching, but one thing for sure the coaches were not missing lay ups or foul shots.

I think the LadyVols finish the regular season 25-5 losing to Kentucky in Lexington and Georgia in Athens.

First off, here is the question that you have to ask yourself... Can these players handle more complex offensive sets or more sets in general??? My opinion is no, they are very successful with the sets they have and a motion offense doesn't need anything other than what they are doing and that's making the defense shift. I commend you on being a 21 year season ticket holder and all that. However, it seems that you are living in the days of Tennessee's past and you have to move on and join us here in the 21st century. The parity of the women's game is at an all-time high and the fact that you can't even admit that shows you're out dated. This is the United States and I did in deed contribute to your right to have the freedom of speech by serving in the Armed Forces. I wasn't telling you to do anything or that you couldn't voice your opinion, but what I was saying was that it makes no sense in complaining about something you can't change nor control. Now here is my SUGGESTION to you: either climb aboard or get left behind. Either way its your choice. Good Day to you mate! :salute::thumbsup:

It seems as though you are the only one living in denial. Of course parity is at an all time high but it hasn't knocked UCONN down at all. If TN had never been at the top level I would buy what you're saying, or if UCONN was now also dipping but that hasn't happened. That's fine if you want to champion mediocrity (and yes losing in the Elite 8 or earlier is mediocre for our program), then I guess all is well. But until we see UCONN struggling the way we are now many won't buy parity being the sole reason for Tennessee's decline. I'm pulling for Holly to get us back on track- maybe she can.

In all honesty, I respect the way you guys have battled this year despite adversity earlier in the season. And, I know the game in CLA will be a super-crazy atmosphere. I just think Carolina is super-focused, after being embarrassed in both tournaments. And it starts with Dawn. No social media, 24 hour window after a game win or loss before dropping it from their system completely.
