I think if UT had played the opener in Neyland, the Staff might not have been so in Awe of their OWN Stadium and been more able to focus on the game itself. The atmosphere should have had an affect on Oklahoma, not Tennessee. The stage was just too big for Butch and Co., when it should have been a huge advantage. JMHO.

Maybe we should refuse to play on the road too

This thread is awful. I heard Notre Dame, Brian Kelly, will not let players look at Touchdown Jesus during the football season.

Some folks just have an agenda, and try to shape arguments to support it. This is one of those.

The underlying agenda here probably is, "I live in Knoxville and wanted to go to that game, but I'm too lazy or cheap to drive 2 1/2 hours and figure out where my seat would be in a stadium I've never gotten drunk in."

VolNation is a whole lot bigger than Knoxville (love the town, but it's true), and a whole lot bigger than OP's personal druthers.

I'm glad we played in Nashville. We ought to get there and Memphis once in a while.

For the record: the OK game outcome had nothing to do with us playing BGSU in Nashville.

This is simply another thread where a fan is trying to rationalize or understand how we lost that game. I did it too. There has to be another reason we lost other than we got out played or out coached doesnt it. Im still trying to figure it out. Star alignment, full moon, checkerboard was off one square, game time, etc....there just has to be another reason.

This is the definition of grasping at straws.

Damn just damn. Log off the internet, burn that username, and pray to God that no one in real life reads this and tracks it back to you.

Have you ever considered maybe just maybe since we came out crushing them that the atmosphere wasn't the issue?
