UT’s Administration has backed up our fanbase into a wall.

More than likely, Fulmer will bring in an underwhelming hire whether it’s Pruitt, Steele, Tucker, or some other Google coach.

5 years of Butch, embarrassing cliches, negative National media, turning into bottom dwellers of the SEC, you name it.

Most of us thought it’d be our time to make UT relevant again. I really believed our Administration would have a whole new outlook and learn from their past mistakes.

It’s the same ole story with the same ole outcome.

5 years of rebuilding and yet, we’ve continued to go on this downward spiral.

I respect Fulmer and still greatly appreciate what he’s done for the University of Tennessee but he didn’t know what he was getting himself into.

Regardless if one of the finalists is hired, it won’t have a happy ending.

We deserve so much better but it’s too obvious they don’t care. Never have, never will.

I’ll continue to support my Vols however, my expectations won’t be near as high as they used to be.

If he hires one of these losers over Leach he should be fired for incompetence. Literally makes zero sense other than his pride, which is pathetic. Grow the **** up Phil. Be a man and stop ****ing over others who care about this program.

I was critical of coaches first round with Currie and rightfully so short of Leach. This time not so much there is reason as to selection and they are well regarded in their Current positions and facts back that up. For those wanting gruden ....seriously lol....types of hires those people would never make a change to go anywhere other than their current places. If you've never found anything to be positive about because you didn't get a fantasy then maybe this isn't the team you should support. Gripes about Mullen and everyone not patterson, gruden, peterson, etc.....nothi g wrong with list he's chosen there are just not big name head coaches looking to make a move and frankly there are many reason why.....frost is prime example....alma mater......point is you should be able to get behind somethi g at this point if not maybe this isn't team for you....

Yet....
UCLA-Kelly
ASU-Edwards
A&M -Fisher

Maybe Fans are just tired of watching other teams get proven coaches instead of coordinators.

When we were clamoring for Currie's termination, who stopped to think that Phil might replace him? Tired of executives, some obviously welcomed the idea, without thinking much about Phil's reluctance to make hires who might outshine him. Jeremy Pruitt might win some games, but he will never become a threat to be Phil's replacement. Phil really did do that, hired someone who did not make him feel threatened.

Most college football fans know who Pruitt is. And what if he turns out to be a great HC. Look I get it, I want the relief of knowing we hired a proven HC but maybe that’s just not in the cards. Just going to have to trust Fulmer.

I’m tired of hiring coaches who no one else is trying to hire.

Always this. Tennessee hires garbage and expects us to just keep on supporting them. I truly wish there could be a large demonstration to show them we're tired of it. I wish people could impact their wallets enough to make a difference.

Instead, we just get crappy coach after crappy coach...

Are you an idiot? I am not sure what constitutes a winner in your book but each of these guys have been very successful. Some people’s ignorance is amazing, if you would be honest, you would admit that you know nothing about either of them. Not sure what Leach has done that makes him so special, nothing.

How,much to you give out of your own wallet? It is so easy to spend someone else’s money. Not sure how you can classify these coaches as garbage, get real. You will be like a little girl when they start blowing team out. Probably be saying, I knew head coaches would be great.

I mean when Mike Leach is interested in the job and you hire Kevin ****ing Steele or Jeremy Pruitt - I think there is plenty wrong with that.

Leach was ONLY interested in working for his buddy Currie. Why in the heck would he come work at a place that just fired his friend?

Uhhhh... You've got to be a troll right? "This may not be the team for you"? Now I agree we've seen some rough years, we're not Fing Kentucky. We could've signed, and should've, a quality head coach. But maybe you're right, maybe those days are gone and we should find another program (a winner) to back. I can't help but think that type of defeatist mentality is what got us here in the first place :eek:hmy:

Might be his stellar record at places notoriously bad... You seem a little defensive buddy, in my case I paid a 4 year tuition (12% increase in tuition each year) and give to the Volfund. Was thinking about season tickets, but f*** that. At this point they'll be lucky I donate at all. Now, if you can objectively tell me why anyone should be on board with Phil, or his underwhelming candidate, then I'm all ears! :hi:

So you are mad because Fulmer won't bring in a freak show (Gruden, Kiffin, Leach)? Methinks that Phil Fulmer is plenty grown up, junior. :whistling:

Nothing like a little negativity to help improve things..

Do the people around you call you Eeyore to your face or just behind your back.

Maybe you have a crystal ball that none of the rest of us do but if not why not think positive as a default?

Leach would have brought an excitement to the fanbase more than pretty much any other coach that could have been hired. Had he been hired it would have been a very fun time to be a Vol fan.

Hopefully whomever is chosen will be successful and and bring championships to Knoxvillr. As long as it isn't Kiffin or Schiano I'll still be wearing orange.
