Tennessee is a timid, second tier and, one player on defense away from being a third tier, football team.

From coaching to talent. There is no excuse for the coaches, there is no excuse for the players. Neither are even close to being at the top of anything. We've played 8 games, lost 5. Think about it.

We'd battle Boise State for a WAC Championship at this point. If we played Tulsa Willingham would quit by half time. Our offensive line is beyond laughable. By way of coach or player talent, Who cares anymore?

Let's just watch the film.

We're just a play away from being .500. That "just a play away" attitude is a big part of the reason why we're here. Instead of demanding actual success we settled for being in the proximity of success.

I really could give a rat's ass where the problem is, who the problem is, how can it be fixed, who can we get to fix it, how long will it take to fix.

I could give a good flying f*** less. The whole team from Fulmer to the internship Trainer to the water girls aren't good. Who cares where the problem is. Wipe the whole damn thing out from A to Z and trust me you will wipe out the problem.

3-5, Anyone who defends anything of this season should be given an AYSO Membership and a "Way to Go Fella" certificate for trying. If you don't have the drive in you to win, to destroy your opponent then I have nothing to do with you. This team, besides one God Send of player, doesn't even come close to playing like that. Player, Coach, Admin, Water Girl, Internship Trainer. None.

Business, I was as p@#$%d as you an hour ago. I've calmed down, but you are right about one thing... the whole damned program needs to be burnded to the ground and rebuilt.

You are still WAY overestimating this team if you think we'd even give Boise State a run for their money. They'd embarass this team.

Yep and the bigger joke is the AD paid more money to see the same BS. Just without the wide field goal trys by vandy, kentucky, and south carolina.
10-4 last year could have easily been 8-5, i guess that would still be right on par with our current standards. Really, hamilton doesn't have much of a leg to stand on with that BS contract he laid out there for phil last year. Most other AD's at big schools would probably already be looking for a job.

at this point, I'm not sure this offence could get and order right at sonic, much less impose their will... if we had half an offence, tonight could have been a lot different

If you recall, there are several of us around here that have commented on the continual deterioration of this program for a long time. Most of you around here had to see the Titanic hit the bottom of the ocean before you decided there might be a problem.

I'd say pretty close to half the posters on VN have been ready to see Phil move on for quite a few years. Don't act like you're holding an original opinion. You joined the board in 2005.
