Good article...I would love to be in a film room breaking it all down with Kiff and the Vols for one day...would be really awesome.

I am not impressed with this. However if you look at past QBs the good ones all knew how and when to get into the film room and use it wisely. My question for Johnny Boy is, can you take what you see in the film room and apply it to the field? I hope so. I truly do.

yeah good info in the article. Seems like JC is working hard to improve. Let's hope it translates onto the field on Saturdays. GO VOLS

I hope Crompton really does well this year and shuts up all of those who have said he doesn't have it between the ears. It's so easy to talk smack and never know the work that the players put in.

Crompton looked better in the scrimmages if that means anything. I think he will look better in the season as well (how could he look worse). I am not saying the kid is going to be all sec or anything, just better.

A few plays later, an outside linebacker moves to the line of scrimmage just before the snap. Crompton takes note.

"That's a linebacker, but now he's an end and it makes it a four-down (lineman) front," he says. "That's something we have to spot, because three-down and four-down completely changes our protections."

Look Crompton will succeed this year at being a good QB. He may also measure well enough to be drafted and make a squad in the NFL. It would serve all the haters right.

So after reading this I'm really left with the question of whether this is new for Crompton or if he studied like this last year as well?

New Crompton....He had more classes last year then he does now. He has all the time in the world to study this year. But the difference probably is he was reviewing game film with Fulmer last year....
