I've been a Tn fan for over 40 years, and I can tell all of you that I've never been more confident in a TN victory. GA is overrated, haven't faced the pressure that we will apply, plus I can't believe the way they struggled against SC.

no doubt in my mind if the offense plays like it has the first 4 games of the season we will lose...

we had problems containing Spurlock and the difference between him and Shockley besides that Shockely is a superior player is that Shockley will complete those throws that the Ole Miss Recievers were dropping..
im really hoping that the offense finally joins the defense and gets on track and comes out blazing :gun:

Great response, but I know we're going to win this one.

I can see us winnig but there is some doubt, I say we win 20 -14, here's how the scoring will go
Ga. 2 TD's 1 long drive early and we will give them 1 quick strike, long run or pass, most likely pass.

UT 1 long drive late in game for TD, 1 easy TD, the defense will score it or get us the ball for a short score. 2 drives will fizzle but we will get a couple of field goals

Our defense will shock Shockley and take him out of the game
for the most part

i really like the matchup with GA this year.

First you got GA coming in with a real heavy run oriented offense, and we have as good a run defense as we have ever had. I think their offense hasnt played a tough defense yet, I think we stuff their running game.

Shockly is going to have to throw the ball a lot in the biggest game of his life. With all the pressure of our defensive line i see him making lots of mistakes. Of all the big games we got this year; FL, GA, LSU, Ala, etc; I like our chances with GA the best.

I love the confidence you guys are showing but I am sure your team does not feel the same way. Can you imagine the logistical nightmare of trying to stop the run but also be concerned about two tightends that have the potential to gain first downs on every possesion. Please give me a break. Im not saying that you won;t win but this is definatley not a sure thing for you guys. Your D is great but your offense is suspect and we may have the best D that you have faced so far. Add that with the fact that we have and extra week to prepare and you my friends have a war on your hands. GoooooOOOOOO DAWGS SIC EM!!!!

correct me if i'm wrong cause i'm not totally sure but doesnt uga always have an open week before they play UT? and to be honest with ya, i feel better about our offense at this point this year than i did last year and i'm sure people will disagree with me on that because i know our offense is not where it is expected to be but last year we went into this uga game with 2 TRUE FRESHMEN QB's and a VERY suspect secondary. now we come into this game with an AWESOME front 7 and a MUCH improved secondary and a SENIOR QB that just does not make very many mistakes and riggs is running the ball like a man possessed if you ask me. IMO if all we do is get 1 big play in this game it will absolutely fire up our offensive unit and they will play much more relaxed without having to worry about when the "big play" will happen for them
GO VOLS!!!!!!

At least the GA fans on here are somewhat well spoken as opposed to the LSWho fans that disgraced these pages the week prior to their game.

You are still going to lose! At least your excuses will be well spoken. Hope I get to hear a few of them.

GO VOLS! Beat the puppies!

:hi: Not so fast my friend. :bad: Your "doggies" have played four doormats of the sport so far this year. :moon2: I don't think any of your previous opponents this year are even mentioned in the Top 25 or is that the top 50. We have played 2 teams rated in the Top 10 and we have won two of those and kept the other one close to the end. This game will be your first test. This will be our 3 rd test against nationally ranked teams. We have actual game experience under fire against teams that could all beat Slippery Rock.

You will finally have an opportunity to see if your "puppies" really have any hope for respectability in the SEC. :devilsmoke:

Hey Fade, I have an uncle by marriage whose brother's son played for the puppies a few years back. His name is Will Colley.

Anyhoo, after we put it to your guys Saturday, I promise not to needle you.

I sure wish I had that kind of confidence. Unfortunately, I've been watching the Tennessee Volunteers Football Team this year and have witnessed the lack of offensive production firsthand.

Anyone who is "certain" that we can put up enough points to beat UGA either is:

a. clueless
b. missed the Florida, and the UAB, and the Ole Miss, and the first half of the LSU game, or
c. trying to piss off the Georgia fans that hang around here

Since I fall into none of the above 3 categories, I'm going 27-17, with the defense scoring a touchdown and giving us great field position to set up a couple of very short drives. My gut says that the offense will look very similar to what's been shown thus far.

Ok guys thanks for letting me have it. Answer to the questions

No we usually dont get a week off to prepare for you guys this is the first year in a long time.

Yes we have lost 10 of the last 14, but riddle me this how has it gone the last 5 years?

Trust me there is no disrespect for your team, but I definatly dont feel that we are going to get blown out. I know we haven't faced top notch teams yet but we could both sit here and make valid arguements as to why either respective team is going to win so lets just keep it at you think UT has the edge and I think UGA has the edge and we will try to keep it civil. And if for some unexplainable reason that we do win/lose you guys know that I will be back to discuss the game. So till then GooooooOOOOOOOOOO DAWGS SIC EM!!!!!

As much as I would hope for a blowout, I am racking my brain trying to figure out how UT is going to score more than 10 points without lots of turnovers.

The first team to 20 points wins the game.
