2021 & 2022 -- Diablo Valley Jr College. Injured 2021
2023 & 2024 -- App State
2025 - -- UCLA transferred to Tennessee

REDShirting is really a non option is Jr College. Using it at a Jr College is basically a non starter. Attending a Jr College for three years is really another non starter. When he got hurt in 2022 Diablo did not the option to RS because it was used in 2019.

It is hard to determine in this case where to start a clock on JA because of Covid and the RS. The Redshirt could have been used at Diablo Valley but was not available to use because it was wasted at SFCC.

JA has a more unique situation than others throwing in the towel. IMO, The approved paperwork and clearinghouse paperwork requires some scrutiny to make a determination.

I would hazard to guess most on VN have suffered through two decades of mediocre, inconsistent football from our beloved Vols so what is one more year in the big picture? Roll with and develop G-Mac and Faizon next year. If JA comes back, let them battle it out.

Anyone that demands moving on from Heupel next year after 8-4 (or frankly even 7-5) is crazy. That ‘26 schedule is a potential monster, and Heupel made significant coaching changes to better develop our program. So NO WAY would i want to let JH go and get into a bidding war while college football is in a state of massive uncertainty. In my mind he has made the best effort to improve staff and took big swings at highly ranked portal qb’s. He has bought much more time in my book.

I saw where that same judge denied 5 or 6 guys that were suing to get a redshirt - not sure what the circumstances of that case were though, but seemed like a shot in the dark.
They were all guys that had played 4 yrs and played more than 4 games each year but had some kind of medical condition or something...
