The thing is the Head Coach is the boss. The boss is responsible. I know that CPF also would have it no other way.

I understand completely what you are saying...but at some point Phil had to let Sanders do HIS job...and that was coordinating the offense, drawing up plays, etc....Phil IS the HC but at the same time has a OC...He cant just never let the OC do what they were hired to do...but your right ultimately it is Phils responsibility...but having said that Phil did allow Randy freedom and we all know what he did with it....those last 2 years Sanders was here were painful to watch the offense....that was NOT Phil....by the time he did step in it was to late and really couldnt do anything other than pressure him to leave

It doesn't matter. I'm the boss and am responsible for my staff. If things go wrong I can fire, hire whomever I need or feel deserve it. The head coach has that ability and is responsible for the output of his team.
Like I said, I think CPF has made the changes needed and has earned the right to continue to fix the problem. I think he showed improvement last year and will continue that trend.

Did the earth just move? Hat and Beef agreeing on something??!?!?!?!! I think I hear the hoofbeats of the 4 horsemen....The End Is Near!!!!!

Oh, no, my friend. You did not read all of Volbeef's statement. He went on to say that CPF has in fact turned it around. I think it safe to say that hat is very skeptical of that. Hopeful, yes, but doubting.

we've agreed before. On Bourbon and steaks.

But I have always thought the head coach is responsible because he is the boss. I disagree with hate on when to pull the trigger on a replacement. I think he has earned the right to fix things and I think he is.

Ok....well if thats the way you see it its all good...meanwhile I'll just hold Phil responsible all the way back until 1998 for letting Sanders become the OC to begin with....because since the 99-2000 season our beloved VOLS pretty much started down the path that took them to the 05 season....just took a lil while to actually get to 5-6...to me that was a Randy Sanders terribly scripted few years of plays...and I guess Phil was watching from Krispy Kreme on Kingston Pike:birgits_giggle:

I noticed that part was left out, so no real threat of the world ending today:dance:.
