do feel like we should be able to go out get our pick of the litter
In on a lot of big time guys. Including one in-state (Groves). Don't really get taking a flier on a project that has not visited especially if you're still bringing in Wyatt, but he is very athletic and has great length. Small forward type was a nice way of putting it. He's not a bad player or anything but how many EDGE rushers are they trying to take haha

seems very early for a project.
its typically that way with this staff.

they take most of the lower rated guys early. and then focus on the studs in the summer and fall. seems like they get "foundation" out of the way. then start swinging on guys, knowing they have a "back up" option they feel pretty good about.

then they will fill in any spots towards the end of the class with the best guys they can get.

6 of our 10 3* in the '25 class were committed by May of '24.
2 were late flips from P4 schools.
1 committed in June of '24
so we really only took 1 3* in the late summer into the fall.

conversely only 4 of our 15 blue chips were committed by June. 1 of those 4 stars was a 3* when he committed.

we already have 5 blue chip committed for '26, so we are ahead of schedule.

let them cook.
