Back in the day it reminded me of that line from Wayne's World with the evil arcade owner about the game where it's unbeatable so kids just keep pumping in quarters; Battletoads was like that but without the quarters. It's like the game developers and designers were just sadists.

This is the only game I couldn't beat, and I couldn't even beat it with a freakin' Game Genie. It's the only game I almost took a sledgehammer to.

If you want an unbeatable game, play Battletoads.

I'm pretty sure I beat Battle Toads.

The only game I remember never beating was MT Punch Out. I could knock him down but never out.

I always liked Elevator Action too. It was kind of lame but addictive.
