Old Malacai fooled everybody including on3.com but maybe Deion Sanders is paying him NIL money.

JT Daniels and Spencer Ratliff have used name recognition and perceived potential into an art. Both may end up being fantastic but to this point, they’ve made money based on the hoped of others.

That list is BS it has Malacai Weidman making over 100 thousand. The kid hasn't been at Tennessee in over a year
Yeah I'm trying to understand it. I think it's what they're valued at and not what they are actually making. Just guessing going by how it shows some have lost or gained. Plus the players that are no longer in school. Ewers supposedly has over a million dollar deal but is listed at a few hundred gland and young is showing 1.9 million but I thought Saban said he was just under a million

Can someone explain "nil value"? I clicked on the link and looked at Tennessee's page at 2021, 2022, and 2023 classes. 2023 shows 2 players with an nil value. I don't think it's what they're getting paid but it's what they could make through an nil deal.

This list has got to be bogus because we don't seem as far behind on NIL looking at this as I have been assured by multiple posters that we are.

Come on, peeps. Took 2 seconds to figure this one out.

On3 NIL Valuation

"The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time."

Here's a good link to track what players are getting paid

https://www.on3.com/nil/rankings/player/college/football/
Whoa, few observations (I am sure they aren't original, well except maybe for one.)

Click on Basketball. I never would have guessed that the top basketball star would make twice as much as the top football star.

This makes me want to look more into Wideman.

Tennessee is cheap compared to some of the other schools. Not a shocker.

TA&M as expected is by far paying out the most to the most players. (Are these players getting the money while they finish up Highschool?)

Walter Nolan definitely went to A&M for money

This definitely is going to make the transfer portal a difficult situation. I can see players proving themselves that were overlooked and bouncing to other schools. I can't help but wish a lot of these recruits for A&M will be busts and they will have wasted hundreds of thousands of dollars. Meanwhile I hope Tennessee coaches these PWOs and 3 stars up and saves a ton of money. But again, if we don't pay once these kids perform, we may need to get ready to be a minor league team among the big boys.

I can see a lot of people who believe in reincarnation checking out of this life early, so they can come and and focus on athletics from a young age lol

Where is Wideman? Could just be showing the school that recruited him and be a database issue, because it is a relatively new recruiting site that may not have differentiated the school they were recruited to and the school they are at now in their database. Update: Apparently these are projections on this site. Not a bad idea, but would be more interesting if they included actual NIL deals. Then there would be tbag discussion around whether or not the player is worth it.

According to the article, this valuation is NOT based on what they actually make, but is based on their number of followers on social media. From that number they guess at their NIL value. I think NIL contracts are pretty confidential between the player and his agent, the company, and the IRS.
IE it basically is rather meaningless.

Assuming you mean Spencer Rattler? He was pretty awesome in 2020. And that last year he wasn't bad. He was just turning the ball over too much and lost his job to another pretty terrific QB.
