Not sure that Aguilar wasn’t better than Simpson anyway, but Nico really screwed us by waiting to transfer in the spring. Simpson said he would’ve transferred to Tennessee, but he couldn’t because the SEC will not let you transfer to another SEC team in the spring portal.

And if my aunt had man parts he’d be my uncle. No reason to what if with the defense we had this year.

I’m not sure if Heupel would have been bothered enough to try and land him. Listening to Basilio today and yesterday was depressing. Flat footed. That describes Heupel to a T. Waits for things to happen. No real planning.

It’s depressing to watch something you love (Tennessee football) becoming an object lesson in laziness and complacency.

You just make shat up. Talk about lazy. You have zero clue how hard CJH is working. Another loser poster.

You're first mistake was buying into anything Basilio says

I’ve heard this advice but it’s always bothered me. How do you evaluate your decision-making if you don’t study the outcomes?
Did you make profit? Good decision. Did you take a loss? Bad decision. (Unless loss harvesting)

I am so humored by the fact that any negative post on Heupel is attacked viciously, but meanwhile he does absolutely nothing to dispell the perception that he is flat footed.

I mean if it makes folks feel better to attack a fellow poster, so be it, but show me something that indicates that Heupel is taking proactive measures anything akin to Cignetti, Kiffin, and other coaches who are aggressive in the portal in building their team.

I'll wait.

I’m not the biggest Heupel fan but we’ve done well in the portal defensively this off season

Listening to Basilio is your mistake.

TB will go batshit on DW tomorrow over the $16mil surplus.

Heupel pounced on Knowles pretty fast but nobody gives him credit for that. That was Job1.

This time last year, everyone expected Nico would be going pro & the reins would be turned over to GMAC & Brandon. Now we’re here and everyone is in a panic. Tennessee was never gonna pay $5-$6mil for Sorsby or Leavitt. LSU was gonna pay $10mil if necessary. Not convinced either is close to that value. Other realistic options in the portal aren’t any better than what Vols currently have.

Keep waiting .......for attention

What an obnoxious last sentence on a message board that welcomes free opinion

Oh, I think Simpson was considerable better QB than Joey. Simpson was screwed by his lOine which just quit blocking. I seldom have seen an Alabama team quit, but they packed their lunch and went home. They will soon be hiring a new coach.

You act like we aren’t going after good players. We are. We are just missing on some.

I don’t like to face it either, but we just aren’t as appealing as some other schools ahead of us. Add in the fact that we don’t compete in NIL as much as other schools, and it just is what it is at this point.

Kind of like Kiffin- if you were 18 and and getting a big payday would you rather play for Kiffin or Heupel if money was the same? I’ll get flamed but Kiffin is the easy answer. One coach has swagger and mocks other programs and has fun, the other just mopes down the sideline with 0 personality. We are who we are at this point.
