To be fair I think he did transfer back to his old school for his senior year, and they’re just not as good as where he was in prior years.

He never officially took a class at Poly.
Mater Dei was never an option.

Warren's line is bad, Nico hadn't been throwing with those WRs all off-season.

I never thought Nico would start as a true freshman. He will have a 6th year senior and a true sophomore high 4 star QB in Jackson to help him develop next year. Milton would/will be an absolute beast if he learns to put some "touch" on his passes and hit open WRs...his line against the scrubs in the opener was ridiculous. Tayven Jackson has arm talent and foot speed as well, and he will have this entire season of experience in practice, the film room, and an SEC strength and conditioning program. Thats a HUGE advantage over a true freshman coming straight outta HS....i think TJ redhirts this season and Nico redshirts next season.

That is the PERFECT situation for the VOLS...and while we are on the subject...Milton deserves BIGtime praise for coming back to the Hill this season knowing Hooker was gonna start over him. He has been working hard by all accounts with his eyes set on HIS opportunity to lead the VOLS next season. Good luck taking that away from a freakishly big and strong guy old enough to have kids in kindergarten since he left HS...unless he just isnt bright (which i dont believe he would have picked up the system faster than Hooker and started game 1 last season if he wasnt sharp) or cannot be coached to having better accuracy somehow....I dont think either of the young guys beat out Milton for the starting job next season. He has legit talent scrambling and an absolute howitzer of an arm.

Can’t really take stock in a QB performance in a downpour. It seemed like the ball was hitting the ground every other play.
