All of these reliable sources are working overtime the last few weeks.

No kidding.
I can wait to see the coaches that are going to get interviewed: Gruden, Spurrier, Cowher, Kiffin, .........
I think Parcells has even been thrown around since he went through the Knoxville airport once

If this holds true you'll see the stands packed and I wouldn't be surprised a standing "O" when Stephens hits the field. Of course you have "Lord Darth Fulmer" who will go with his "son" Sixth Crompton :fool:

Does anyone know when we will find out? If it is indeed Stephens I think I may order the game myself.

supposedly Fulmer is going to make the announcement after today's walk through on who will start.

But as been said many, many, many, many, many, many, many times on here this week, both Stephens and Crompton are supposed to get reps this week.

Mr. College Football agrees:

"Things are starting to get pretty ugly in Big Orange Country. I would say that Tennessee’s offense is shooting itself in the foot, but I’m not sure this crowd could hit its own foot. Coach Phillip Fulmer will announce his starting quarterback at some point on Friday but in my mind he has no choice but to give Nick Stephens a shot and hope for the best against the Huskies. You just can’t ask Jonathan Crompton to take the first snap in this game at home because, like it or not, the crowd will boo and the game will begin a negative note. Tennessee must find some answers before next week’s trip to Georgia. The Vols will win, but will they be ugly doing it?"

I don't think this is gonna avoid any boo's, the second Crompton hits the field he'll get booed no matter what the score is.

unless of course Stephens tears it up from the onset. Fulmer/Clawson did say today that they wouldn't take out the hot guy.

With Stephens starting and the curiosity to see how many empty seats there will be, I might have to change my stance and order this game on PPV. Throw in the fact that losing or not the opportunity to see the Vols play football is something you wait a long 9 months . . .I guess I will give in.

I had thought in my mind there is no way that CPF would start Stephens this week.

This is about the only thing I hope I'm ever wrong about, so if this is true, thank God for being wrong.

NS should have been starting against UAB.

It this is true it means I have to get to Buffal Wild Wings earlier to get a seat to watch the game. With Crompton starting I probably could have shown up at kickoff and got any seat I wanted. Oh well, its worth it. I still want the 'official word' though before I get excited.
